What is sleet weather?

Sleet refers to a special precipitation phenomenon that rainwater and partially melted snow are mixed together and fall at the same time.

The sleet phenomenon requires temperature, which mainly occurs when the temperature of the part closest to the ground is slightly higher than the freezing point of water. When the thickness of the atmosphere in the melting layer is between 230 m and 460 m, rainwater and partially melted snow will naturally mix together and fall to the ground to form sleet.

Hazards of sleet

In the morning after the glass freezes, warm wind blows sleet, and the front windshield often freezes. If it is not handled, it will seriously affect the line of sight and have potential safety hazards. If it is not handled properly, it will not only have little effect, but also may cause damage to the vehicle. The hardness of sleet is lower and more transparent than hail and freezing rain, but there are some traces of ice crystals in it.

In the rainy (snowy) period, the temperature is low and the humidity is high. In management, it is necessary to strengthen disease monitoring, pay special attention to the occurrence and spread of vegetable blight and gray mold, use preventive chemicals for protection in advance, and treat them in time once they occur.
