Three Parallel Rivers Regional Tourism

The natural landscape of "Three Parallel Rivers" is located in the longitudinal valley area of Hengduan Mountains, which extends south of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It consists of the Nujiang River, Lancang River, Jinshajiang River and their valleys, with a total area of 4 1 10,000 square kilometers.

There are three scenic spots, including Nujiang River, Dulong River, Lancang River and Jinsha River, eight central scenic spots and more than 60 scenic spots (spots), covering an area of more than 3,500 square kilometers. Three big rivers flow in parallel for hundreds of kilometers in the longitudinal valley area of Hengduan Mountains in northwest Yunnan. Sanjiang is 66.3 kilometers away, and the nearest Nujiang and Lancang rivers are only 18.6 kilometers away from Nushan.

There are high mountains and snow peaks in the scenic area, and the altitude changes vertically. From the Nujiang dry-hot valley of 760m to the Kawar slope of 6740m, there are various snow-capped mountains, virgin forests and glacial lakes in the scenic area. Kavalpo, the main peak of Meili Snow Mountain, is covered with the Wannian Glacier. Crystal clear glaciers extend from the top of the mountain to the forest area of Mingyong Village. It is the most spectacular and rare modern glacier with low latitude and low altitude monsoon in the world.

The landscape mainly includes: strange parallel rivers, majestic mountains and snowy peaks, steep canyons and shoals, beautiful snowy forests, quiet glacial lakes and lakes, rare plate collision, vast snowy mountain flower shops, rich rare animals and plants, majestic Baishuitai and unique ethnic customs, which constitute the characteristics of male, dangerous, beautiful, strange, quiet, Austrian and sighing.

It is a scenic spot with the largest area, the richest landscape and colorful ethnic customs in Yunnan Province, which is extremely attractive but has not yet been developed. Named by UNESCO and approved by the State Council 1988. It has been designated as the second batch of national key scenic spots. Three Parallel Rivers is a history textbook for the evolution of the earth. The collision between the Indian plate and the Eurasian plate caused the uplift of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and formed the main body of the Hengduan Mountain range, which is composed of huge mountains and rivers such as Dulong River, Gaoligong Mountain, Nujiang River, Lancang River, Yunling Mountain and Jinsha River arranged at the same distance of 150 km. This is a unique natural landscape of mountain valleys in the world. From ophiolite, pillow lava, geological rock records from biochemistry to Quaternary to glacial snow peaks, caves, rivers and karst landforms in continental orogenic belts, it fully meets one of the terms and standards nominated by the World Natural Heritage.

The three parallel rivers are in Yunnan, about170km, located in Lijiang, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and Nujiang Yi Autonomous Prefecture in the west of Yunnan Province, with a total area of 40,000km2. The shortest straight line distance between Nujiang River and Lancang River is only 18.6 km, while the shortest straight line distance between Lancang River and Jinsha River is only 66.3 km.

Jinsha River gathers Yalong River, Minjiang River and Jialing River from north to east, so China has Yangtze River.

The Lancang River flows slowly from north to south, and when it crosses the national border, it becomes the upper reaches of the adjacent Mekong River.

The Nujiang River rushes into Myanmar from north to south and becomes the upper reaches of salween.

These three rivers originate from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and they run hand in hand in the mountains of Yunnan.

Jinsha River passes through the natural wonder of Shigu Town (the first bay of the Yangtze River), turns sharply back to Dajiangdong and finally flows into the Pacific Ocean.

Lancang River flows through Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, and finally flows into the Pacific Ocean.

The Nujiang River flows into Myanmar and into the Indian Ocean. The area where the three rivers flow together almost covers the beautiful scenery of northwest Yunnan, among which Lijiang Jinsha Tourism thinks that the most recommended areas are Gaoligong Mountain, Meili Snow Mountain, Haba Snow Mountain, Qianhu Mountain, Hongshan Mountain, Yunling Mountain, Laojun Mountain and Laowo Mountain.

Meili Snow Mountain area not only has typical geomorphological features and rich geological relics in Lancang River basin, but also is the original habitat of Yunnan golden monkey, the flagship species of "Three Parallel Rivers". Haba Snow Mountain area has the modern ocean glacier at the southernmost latitude of China and the typical and complete natural landscape of alpine vertical belt in Jinsha River basin. Qianhu Mountain has unique landscape value of plateau forests and lakes. Qianhu Mountain Scenic Area has a complete and unique alpine ecosystem diversity, with alpine meadow, rhododendron forest and spruce fir forest being the most distinctive. Rhododendron, black-necked crane and other rare animals and plants inhabit it, which is one of the areas where the plateau biodiversity is concentrated in the "Three Parallel Rivers" area. Yunling area is located in Lanping County of Nujiang River between Lancang River and its tributary He Dian. It mainly protects wild animals and their habitats represented by Yunnan golden monkey, and is a provincial nature reserve in Yunnan under construction.

Laojunshan area mainly includes typical landscape types such as "plateau glacial lake", alpine rhododendron forest, glacier cave landform, alpine meadow grassland and alpine Danxia landform in Jinsha River basin. Among them, "Dawn Li Guang" Danxia landform area is typical. The main attractions of Laowo Mountain are Xinhua Lake, Laowo Mountain alpine glacial lake group, Lola, the second tributary of Lancang River, Hongyan Cave and Lidiping wildflowers.
