Four major saltworks in China

There are three big saltworks, not four.

These three saltworks are Luchang saltworks, Bag saltworks and Ying Ge saltworks.

1, Luchang saltworks

Mainly distributed in the Bohai Sea coast of Hebei Province and Tianjin.

Yantian, with the largest sea salt production in China, accounts for a quarter of the total sea salt production in China.

Cangzhou, Hebei Province, in particular, is the largest producer of industrial salt in China, and the daily output of industrial salt is the most important salt field in China compared with the total output of bag salt field in Taiwan Province Province in one year. Because there is no technology to produce medical salt for the time being, especially the third and fourth generation medical salt, which is the largest in the mainland and the second in the country.

2. Bag saltworks

Baoyan saltworks is the largest saltworks in Taiwan Province Province. The salinity of seawater here is as high as 35‰, which is about 7 times higher than that outside the Yangtze River estuary, and it is one of the highest salinity waters in China. The salinity of seawater around the cloth bag is very high, mainly because the beaches are widely distributed, the amount of fresh water injected by rivers is small, the sunshine time is long all year round, the temperature is high and evaporation is fast, which makes the seawater concentration relatively high.

Due to the above advantages, the coastal area near the cloth bag has been the enrichment area of Taiwan Province Island saltworks in China since ancient times, producing more than 600,000 tons of salt every year, and is known as the "Southeast Salt Warehouse". The salt produced is low in cost and white in color, which can be called top grade.

3. Ying Ge saltworks

Ying Ge Sea Salt Field is located in the southwest coast of Ledong, which is the largest sea salt field in Hainan Island and second to none in South China. Ying Ge Haiyan Yard was built in 1958, with a total area of 3,793 hectares, with an annual production capacity of 250,000 tons and a maximum annual output of 300,000 tons. The degree of mechanization is 69%. The main products are crude salt, sun-dried refined salt, sun-dried high-quality salt, powder-washed refined salt and so on.

Extended data:

Formation conditions of saltworks:

1. Luchang Salt Field is located on the west bank of Bohai Bay, with superior natural conditions for salt drying;

(1) There is a long, wide and flat mudflat.

(2) Weather favorable for seawater evaporation, which is a short rainy season, with rapid temperature rise and strong evaporation in spring.

In short, the formation conditions of Luchang Yantian are flat terrain and wide beach; It is windy and rainy, with plenty of sunshine and strong evaporation.

2. Bag saltworks

Due to the influence of monsoon, there is little precipitation in the west of Taiwan Province Province, and the bag salt field is distributed in the southwest because it is easy to dry salt under the influence of monsoon. The beach here is flat, the terrain is gentle and inclined, and it is dry for half a year in winter, and it often doesn't rain for two or three months. The sunshine is abundant and the monsoon is strong, which is very beneficial to drying sea salt. It is the only ideal sea salt drying coast in Taiwan Province Province.

3. Ying Ge saltworks

Ying Ge Sea Salt Field is built between seamounts, and the continuous mountain range of Jianfengling blocks typhoon clouds and rain from the north, which makes it sunny all year round and has enough light and heat to make salt. In addition, the salinity of seawater here is very high, which forms unique production conditions.
