The life span of worker bees is generally only 30 to 60 days. Why are their life spans so short?

During this period, the life span of worker bees is very short, only 35 days.

2. High temperature in summer: Because there are fewer honey sources in summer than in spring, worker bees have to fly farther than in spring if they want to collect the same amount of honey. In addition, the hot weather accelerates the metabolism in the body. It is understandable that the life span of spring is about a week shorter than that of worker bees.

3. Winter Leisure: Why do worker bees live so long in winter? The reason is that honey is scarce in winter, the attendance rate of worker bees is very low, and the low temperature effectively reduces the metabolism in the body. Take the tortoise as an example. Because of the slow metabolism in the body, the life span can exceed 100 years. So do worker bees in winter.
