From June 23rd to July 5th, 2023, Beijing High Temperature Red Warning (city and district level) was issued for 30 times.

The municipal high-temperature red warning on July 6th is the second high-temperature red warning signal issued by Beijing since the implementation of the revised high-temperature warning signal standard. The hot weather on June 23 this year was the first time that Beijing issued a high-temperature red warning.

In addition to the municipal warning, Beijing 16 districts also issued high-temperature warnings, among which Mentougou District issued a district-level high-temperature red warning yesterday (July 5). Since the beginning of summer, Chaoyang District, Tongzhou District, Shunyi District, Fengtai District, Miyun District, Haidian District, Shijingshan District, Daxing District, Fangshan District, Changping District, Dongcheng District and Xicheng District have issued two high-temperature red warnings on June 23rd and today respectively. Mentougou was also released twice, once on July 5 and once on June 23.

On July 6, Pinggu and Huairou issued high-temperature orange warnings, but on June 23, both districts issued high-temperature red warnings. Compared with other 15 areas, Yanqing has not issued a red warning so far, but issued a high temperature orange warning on June 23 and today.

Beijing has a record high temperature.

According to the statistics of Beijing Meteorological Bureau, since June 2023 (as of 20: 00 on July 5), the number of high temperature days at 35℃ and above in the meteorological station has been 18 days, which is the highest in the same period since the station was established.

Since the station was established, as of 2022, the maximum number of high temperature days with temperature ≥35℃ in June was 1 1 day, which appeared in 1952 and 2000 respectively. The maximum number of high temperature days ≥37℃ is 5 days, which occurs in 1952.

According to statistics, since the establishment of Beijing Observatory, the extreme maximum temperature will be 4 1.9℃ in 2022, which occurred on July 24th, 1999. The sub-high temperature was 4 1. 1℃, which appeared in July of 20 14, May 29th of 20 14 and June 22nd of 2023.
