How to query historical meteorological data

I don’t know what data the questioner needs. In fact, it can be obtained quickly and for free, and there are many data sources. There are roughly two types, one is actual measured data obtained through weather stations, and the other is high-precision reanalysis data. Both types of data can provide yearly/monthly/daily/hourly periods.

1. Meteorological station measured data:

Figure 1 shows the distribution map of global weather stations. You can select any station on the world map to obtain the historical meteorological data of that station.

For example, the historical data of Xi'an Jinghe Meteorological Station is shown in Figure 2.

2. High-precision reanalysis data:

The advantage of reanalysis data is that the data has good continuity and there is no breakpoint in a certain year. situation. Second, meteorological elements are comprehensive, including rarely recorded data such as solar radiation, geothermal flux, cloud cover, snowfall, etc., can be provided. As shown in Figure 3, it is a grid point located in Chang'an District, Xi'an. Various meteorological elements can be selected on the right side of the interface. I will not give examples one by one.

In fact, we are more concerned about the accuracy of these meteorological data, so you can see that there are different data columns: Site Actual measurements, county-level data, 10km ultra-high precision, yearbook data, etc. For example, in terms of precipitation in the same region, the data obtained from different channels will be more or less different. In fact, this is a good thing for scientific research and can give us more reference basis.
