What is the symbol of the wind?

Please refer to the following figure:

The symbol of wind is the symbol of wind direction (as shown in the figure), and the wind direction is generally represented by a wind pole with tail feathers, in which the tail feathers of the wind symbol above level 8 are pennants.

Symbol: It consists of wind stems and wind feathers.

Wind handle: indicates the direction of the wind, with 8 directions.

Wind feather: 3 or 4 short strokes and triangles indicate strong wind, perpendicular to the right side of the wind pole (northern hemisphere).

Horizontal 1-2: 1 vertical line 1 horizontal line

Grade 3-4: 1 vertical bar and 2 horizontal bars

Grade 5-6: 1 vertical bar 3 horizontal bar

Grade 7-8: 1 vertical bar 4 horizontal bar.

Above level 8: 1 vertical bar 1 triangle is like a small flag.

The formation of wind:

Wind is caused by solar radiation heat. When the sun shines on the ground, the surface temperature rises.

When the ground air is heated, it becomes lighter and expands and rises.

After the hot air rises, the cold air with low temperature flows laterally, and the rising air gradually cools and becomes heavier and then drops.

Because the surface temperature is high, it will heat the air to make it rise, and this airflow will produce wind.

From a scientific point of view, wind often refers to the horizontal motion component of air, its size and direction, that is, wind direction and wind speed.

But for flight, it also includes vertical motion components, so-called vertical or ascending and descending airflow.
