I haven’t been to Nanyu, but my friend has been and said that the things to do there are pretty shabby. The most fun things are sand and grass skiing, and they’re also dirty.

Ledao is better I went there, but I personally found it boring. I had less fun, and there were many self-funded projects.

Ledao is on the Shanhaiguan side, while Nanyu is on the Nandaihe side. They are not far apart.

As for the accommodation issue, I stayed in Beidaihe. There are family hotels there, and the environment is average (I don’t stay in the house much when I go out, so average ones are fine) It's quite cozy. The prices are between 50-80. You can usually get it for 50. Don't be fooled. It's very simple to find one. When you take a bus from Qinhuangdao to Beidaihe, they will ask you when you get off. Don't worry, it's quite good. It's safe. If you're worried, there are hotels nearby (I haven't been there so I don't know the prices). I recommend going to the family ones. They are quite affordable and feel like home!

If you want to go to the beach, it is recommended to go to Beidaihe. It is more lively and close to where you live. Please be careful to put on your clothes in the room when you go to the beach. There is a changing room at the beach, but it is still convenient to change. There is a fee (3 yuan per time), so don’t bring valuables with you, because it costs 30 to store them at the beach! If there are many people, there is no need! Someone is watching!
