When was the Zhalainuoer site discovered?

Zhalainuoer is located in the east of Manzhouli City, Inner Mongolia and the west of Hailar City. Since 1927, many Neolithic cultural sites have been excavated underground in Zhalainuoer. 1933, Gu Zhenquan first discovered a human skull, which was named "Zalenol" by Japanese paleoanthropologist Ryuji Endo. 1943, Japanese archaeologist Jin discovered the second human skull; 1944, China archaeologist Pei Wenzhong discovered the third human skull. After 1973, 12 human skulls and complete mammoth bones were continuously discovered. At the same time, arrows, circular scrapers, stone leaves, stone chips, stone cores, as well as bison, horses, deer, antelopes and other fossils were also found. According to scientific determination, about 1 1000 years ago, human beings had already worked, lived and multiplied in this area. However, some scholars believe that due to the chaotic strata during excavation, the specific age needs further study, which may belong to the Mesolithic Age.

After repairing the heads of Zhalainuoer people, we can get a glimpse of their heads: prominent cheekbones, shovel-shaped incisors and bushy eyebrows ... which are typical characteristics of primitive yellow people.

The primitive Zhalainuoer people have made great progress in the manufacture and processing of stone tools, and have high labor skills and activity ability. They improved the methods of making, cutting, pressing and repairing stone tools, thus making them more diverse, more beautiful, symmetrical and even, sharp and applicable.
