July 15

Monday

My family and I arrived in Penang, Malaysia this morning. The weather was sunny and hot, so we decided to go to the beach near the hotel. My sister and I tried paragliding. I feel like a little bird. So exciting! For lunch we had something very special - Malaysian yellow noodles. They are delicious! In the afternoon we rode bicycles to George Town. There are many new buildings now, but there are still many old buildings. Qian in George Town, a very old place. We can see houses from where Chinese merchants lived 100 years ago. I wonder what life was like here in the past. I really enjoyed walking around the town.

Tuesday

What a change in one day! My dad and I decided to go to Penang Hill today. We wanted to walk to the top, but it started to rain lightly, so we decided to take the train. Because there were so many people, we waited for more than an hour for the train. When we reached the top of the mountain, it was raining heavily. We didn't have an umbrella so we were wet and cold. It's so bad! And because of the bad weather, we couldn't see any scenery below. My dad didn't bring enough money, so we only had a bowl of rice and some fish.

The food tasted so good because I was so hungry!
