What kind of person is Dai Li?

Dai Li is an important figure of the Kuomintang in the history of the Republic of China. He is mysterious. In terms of ability, talent and experience, he is a very special person and worth studying.

I. Working ability:

Dai Li served as the head of the Military Bureau, the intelligence agency of the Kuomintang government for a long time, and his working ability won the trust of Chiang Kai-shek. As the saying goes, he is a "spy chief". Before 1946 died in a plane crash, he led numerous military operations, persecuted and killed a large number of Chiang Kai-shek's political enemies and people Chiang Kai-shek wanted to get rid of. During War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the agency also assassinated many Japanese aggressors, Wang puppet intelligence agencies, traitors, etc., and their hands were covered with the blood of the people, and they also removed many enemies of the people-

Second, from the perspective of talent:

Dai Li did have some extraordinary talents in intelligence, the most famous of which was that he personally went to Myanmar to build an intelligence system and network at 194 1, and in early February of that year, the Military Bureau in charge of Dai Li was the first to decipher the intelligence of the Japanese attack on the US Pacific Fleet Pearl Harbor! Although the information did not attract enough attention after it was reported to the United States, after the incident, President Roosevelt of the United States specifically asked the Kuomintang government to meet with Dai Li, which shows that it did have certain professional abilities and talents;

Third, from an empirical point of view:

Dai Li, 1897, was born in Quzhou, Zhejiang. He is also a fellow villager of Chiang Kai-shek in Zhejiang. Although he is not from a city, he is highly valued by Chiang Kai-shek who pays attention to the relationship between fellow villagers. 1926 entered the whampoa military academy, and 1928 began to engage in intelligence work. Later, he will begin to develop intelligence networks, assassinate Beiyang warlords and traitors, and so on. Later, generals Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng related to the Xi incident were all killed by his Ministry. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, he commanded the army to assassinate Wang Jingwei, the main traitor of Wang puppet regime (unsuccessfully).

Judging from his experience, he is indeed a complicated figure, a historical sinner who persecuted and killed people, and a mysterious figure who assassinated Japanese aggressors and traitors.

1946 March 17, Dai Li flew from Qingdao to Nanjing by special plane and died in a plane crash in Daishan, the western suburb of Nanjing, ending his complicated life.
