The climate of Hexi Corridor belongs to continental arid climate, with dry climate, drastic changes in hot and cold, windy and sandy. Cold wave weather often forms in winter and spring. The main source of summer precipitation is the summer monsoon invading this area.

The precipitation in summer accounts for 50 ~ 60% of the annual total, and it is 15 ~ 25% in spring, 10 ~ 25% in autumn and only 3 ~ 16% in winter.
