1 district, 100 organic greenhouse vegetable demonstration gardens, 6 100 hectares pollution-free open vegetable gardens, 1 melon and vegetable comprehensive wholesale market (ghost market). Driven by the radiation of the park and the market, the planting area of melons and vegetables in the town has reached 5000 hectares, accounting for 40% of the total cultivated land. Among them, there are 5,000 greenhouses with an area of 500 hectares and 4,500 hectares of open-air melons and vegetables. The main varieties are melon, watermelon, eggplant, green pepper, cucumber, persimmon and beans, with an annual output of 200,000 tons. Products are mainly sold to Jilin, Heilongjiang and Inner Mongolia provinces, and some products are exported to Russia, South Korea and other places. The output value reached 6,543.8 billion yuan, and the per capita income increased by 2,000 yuan. In recent years, pollution-free production management technology has been popularized, and more than 30 varieties of six major strains of melons and vegetables have obtained green food certificates issued by China Green Food Development Center. Green pepper, kidney bean and eggplant were certified as pollution-free agricultural products by the Agricultural Products Quality and Safety Center of the Ministry of Agriculture. In April, 2003, our town was identified as "the demonstration base of pollution-free agricultural products in Jilin Province" by the Green Food Office of Jilin Province. In 2005, Changshan organic greenhouse vegetable demonstration park realized the soil conversion certification of organic vegetable production. Buhai Town will form an industrial chain of melons and vegetables by building parks, making brands and processing, so that it will truly become the leading industry of enriching the people and strengthening the town. Aquaculture is another pillar industry in this town. Focusing on the characteristics of the industry, increasing investment has begun to take shape. First of all, Dehui Cheng Peng Poultry Industry Co., Ltd. was established in 2004, covering an area of 33,000 square meters and a building area of 5,700 square meters. The company is a comprehensive farming and animal husbandry enterprise integrating breeding chickens, broiler hatching, feed processing and foster care for farmers. The total investment of the company is120,000 yuan, with an annual output value of 85 million yuan and a profit of 3 million yuan. Second, Changchun Deli Animal Husbandry Co., Ltd. started construction in September 2005, with an estimated investment of 24 million yuan. It is a comprehensive farming and animal husbandry enterprise integrating chicken and duck breeding, meat chicken and duck hatching and feed processing. Thirdly, Zheng Tong Animal Husbandry Company started construction in September 2005, covering an area of 36,000 square meters. It was put into use in July 2006, with an estimated investment of150,000 yuan, mainly engaged in breeding chickens.

In 2005, the annual output of the whole town was 200,000 live pigs, 30,000 beef cattle and 8 million broilers, and the per capita income increased by 1.0 1.4 yuan. Animal husbandry has become another leading industry. Buhai Town is located in the west bank of Yinma River, with fog flowing from east to west, flat terrain, fertile soil, rich groundwater resources and dense forest fields, forming a unique climate community without any pollution. The existing forestland covers an area of 2,743.7 hectares, with a coverage rate of 14% and a forest stock of 200,000 cubic meters. 1978 and 1984 were awarded "Demonstration Town of Farmland Shelterbelt in Three North Areas" by the Ministry of Forestry, and were commended by Jilin Provincial Government and Provincial Forestry Department for many times. At present, the farmland shelterbelt in Buhai Town is in the stage of comprehensive clear-cutting and renewal. In order to better implement the regeneration of shelter forests, "full mortgage" is adopted to regenerate trees, and young forests are contracted separately. Based on the principle of "share, no benefit", the original administrative command forest management was changed into individual contracted national forest management. Now the whole town has cleared and updated farmland shelterbelt 150, covering an area of 80 hectares. After the renewal, the farmland shelterbelt grows well. Therefore, in 2005, the State Forestry Administration held a field meeting on the transformation of farmland shelterbelts in the Three North Areas in this town, which was well received by the leaders and comrades attending the meeting.
