Where is the location of Shizhai Ancient Village?

Shizhai Village: also known as Shicheng, located in Daan Town, Lufeng City, is a "double-material" national-level ancient village. It enjoys a high reputation in ancient villages in China. The village was built in the fifth year of Tang Wude (AD 622) and has a history of 1300 years. It was not built on a large scale until the Ming Dynasty. It is said that the first settler in Shizhai village was a family with a surname of Shi, so it was named Shizhai. This village used to be the settlement of Shi, Chen and Xie, but now all the villagers are surnamed Huang. The village's historical and traditional buildings include Shicheng and Xie. Shizhai attaches great importance to farming and "ethical education". During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was awarded three scholars and seven juren, which is a famous "hometown of literature and ink" in Guangdong.

Shizhai Ancient Village consists of Shizhai, Xinzhai and Zhongyi Temple.

Shizhai Village is the place where people of Huang surname live. East-west trend, built on the mountain. It has distinctive ancient agricultural civilization and Lingnan regional cultural characteristics. From the overall pattern of the building to the security and defense settings, Shizhai Village is a miracle.

The circumference of the city wall is about 700 meters and the height is 10 meter. The foundation part is made of slate, 3 meters high, and the upper part is compacted with concrete. The wall is 4 meters wide and divided into internal and external walls of more than 3 meters. There is a 2-meter-wide "road" between the inner and outer walls. The outer wall is covered with plates and holes. There are four gates in the east, west, north and south, and forts are set on both sides 40 meters away from the gates. Self-made flat robe hangs poetically on the wall, which not only makes the mottled and vicissitudes of the wall show green vitality, but also plays a protective role. This is the secret that the wall is not old for hundreds of years.

Above the west gate wall, there is a stone tablet with the words "Shicheng" engraved in gold, which was written by Huang's ancestors. The houses in the city are built all the way according to the circular direction of the stockade wall, and all the way according to the height of the mountain, stacked together neatly and orderly. Between the two roads, a main village road built according to the mountain situation runs through the village, and the secondary roadway is connected with both ends of the main roadway, forming a huge village road network. Most residential buildings belong to "three rooms across two hands", which is popular and practical.

Huang people have the custom of building stone flagpole clips for those who have been admitted to Jinshi and even scholars to show respect for talents and encouragement for those who are backward. In the square outside the gate of Shizhai Village in the old days, 28 various stone flagpole clips were erected. Every holiday, the flagpole rises with flags embroidered with various fame and fortune, which is spectacular and becomes a famous local cultural landscape. Unfortunately, these stone flagpole clips were completely destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, building cities and villages became a common practice.

In addition to building Shicheng, Huang Yi's nephew also built a large-scale village in the city, Xinzhai, at the foot of Shilong Kongtong Mountain, two kilometers away from Shicheng. It is said that the village was built around 18 years ago, and its scale, ingenious design and huge cost are amazing. In addition, they also have a large number of fields granted by the court. The rented land is near the towns of Lufengdong, Hedong and Hexi, and as far away as Meilong in Haifeng County today. They also built Lingquan Temple not far from Xinzhai, completing the necessary supporting system of "school, ancestral temple and security hall" in the old countryside.

Xinzhai was founded in the 30th year of Kangxi and named "He Anli" after the father of the builder Huang Jixian. Xinzhai Huang originated from Shizhai, so it is also called Xinzhai.

Up to more than ten feet, the old mottled gray-black wall was covered with eyes for defense and external shooting. The section of the underground chamber 13 floor wall is trapezoidal, and it is wider and wider from bottom to top, forming different levels of wall roads around the village. The bottom of the wall is made of hard stone, thick and strong. There is a patrol road with a width of 1 meter between the wall base and the residential building.

Zhaimen has three gates, namely, west, south and north, according to the orientation of gossip. The main entrance is the west gate, and there is an archway on the door. The word "He Anli" is embossed on the plaque, which means "live in harmony" and "prosperity and peace". Interestingly, Camus' main entrance and gate are in a straight line, far between Qishan and Jianling (Wu Mian) in Hexi Town. The couplet reads: "On the left, the flag peak welcomes Ji Ling, and on the right, it welcomes the light of Jianling." The inscription on the south gate reads "Qi Jie", and the couplet reads "Ruiai Nangong opens a Thai luck, and the light welcomes Tokyo to call for prosperity". The inscription on the north gate reads "Yang De". The couplet reads: "British style is especially in western Sichuan, and benevolence is always in the north gate." "

Sanzhai Gate is very strong, with two stone gates, one large and one small, and a small gate on each side of the passage for stacking weapons and stationing personnel. Each wooden door is 10 cm thick, and the door is closed, with two chains and two bars, which can be reinforced with tenons. There are two square stone troughs above the door, which are used to put out fires. When the enemy sets fire to the door, you can throw water on them to put out the fire.

There are eight carved buildings outside the village wall, six of which are located around Sanmen, extending 2 meters outside the wall, and the wall ring road can reach eight carved buildings. The garbage around is flat, and you can have a panoramic view of the surrounding movement. All windows have the same vision and cross each other, leaving no dead angle of vision. If all three doors in the whole village are closed, it will be impregnable.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, pirates were rampant in land and sea areas. This shows that no Japanese pirates dare to attack and besiege Fubian New Village. The building in the village is centered on Huang Ancestral Hall, with a five-horse trailer, an open square in front and two "nine-room buildings" in the back. Each building has two floors and nine rooms. The "eight-room building" on the left and right sides of the ancestral hall is protected horizontally, and there are two open spaces between it and the "nine-room building", which are called "longan". Enclosed with stockade walls, residential buildings are enclosed and protected to form a large-scale building complex.

The main building of the ancestral hall is centered on a hall with three entrances, and two "nine classrooms" are vertically arranged on both sides of the main building, separated from the main seat by a "fire alley", and the outermost side is surrounded by a "fire alley" and a row of houses, making it a huge independent unit.

The courtyard layout is orderly and unified, with three streets and six lanes passing through the territory, moderate separation and appropriate movement. The front and rear doorways are connected with the left street and the right lane, which is a combination of reality and reality. Residential building materials are mainly concrete, and the walls are mostly built by the method commonly known as "gold-coated silver", that is, one-third of the outer walls are built with bricks or stones, and two-thirds of the inner walls are built with adobe or rammed earth. The villagers said that Huang Jixian's nephew, Huang Dexing, was appointed as the magistrate of Wuzhou, Guangxi when he built the village, and his official title was Zhengsipin. Therefore, according to the specifications of the feudal dynasty "four officials", every room was painted white and all rooms were painted black above the ground 1.2 meters. According to the laws of the feudal dynasty, if four officials of the imperial court came to raid the property, the family only needed to move the things out of the house by themselves.

Throughout all the buildings in the village, there are mutual calls and responses, including convergence, size, primary and secondary, internal and external, which are combined into an organic whole, forming a magnificent momentum, gathering without chaos, separating without dispersion, changing regularly and orderly, showing a group harmony and balance.

The circle has been a symbol of "happiness", "happiness" and "auspiciousness" since ancient times. Due to the need of family's external defense security and the need of the same family's living and living, the Huang people in Xinzhai successfully gathered the family building groups together with the concept of "living together" and using the dotted line relationship of distance. At the same time, dividing each family into a relatively independent living space is complete and quiet, which embodies the harmony and affinity of the big family, has a strong human touch and adapts to the consolidation of the ethical order of the big family.

Shizaizhang, more than 400 meters above sea level, is located 8 kilometers southeast of Liuhe Estuary Market, extending to 80,000 towns and villages in Da 'an. Since ancient times, it has been regarded as "Lingshan" by Lu Fengren. It goes from northwest to southeast, to the southeast end of the pulse all the way to Xuanwu Mountain in jieshi town, so there is Xuanwu Temple; All the way to Longshan in the East China Sea, there was Longshan Academy in ancient times. The Da 'an and dragon three veins in the central part are bounded by stones, with two roads heading north and one road heading south. Beier Road began in Zhu Huan Village, the site of anlu county in the fifth year of Tang Wude, and was a new village in the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty. Zhang Lianfeng, a geologist, thinks that the new village belongs to the "son of the lion", but the "Wang Longju" is small, and it may become a "hunting ground for dragons" over time. Therefore, it is said that the Huang family will build a temple in the rocky area in the east of the village in the future, and use the bell in the temple to "revitalize the dragon god".

Stone post is located in the northeast of the lion, about 2 kilometers away from Xinzhai, with beautiful mountains and rivers, rugged rocks, endless mountain springs and sweet and delicious water. It is said that the weather in the left and right streams can be sunny, hence the name "Lingquan". As one of the eight ancient scenes in Da 'an, the poem reads: "A lion deer spirit spring flows out of a river."

In the third year of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty, a monk came to Huadu, Guangzhou, claiming that he was "born in a beautiful place and died in Lingquan Temple" and came to Lingquan to build a temple at the behest of his master. Xinzhai people remembered the words of local teachers, strongly supported the temple construction, and donated money to complete the supporting system of "school, ancestral temple and security hall". Wutai Mountain specially made a big bronze bell. It is said that the bronze bell is extremely heavy and thick, transmitting sound in 10, and the sound is crisp and cotton. The big bronze bell was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. "County Records" records: "In the third year of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty (AD 1725), a stone cave was built in the Lion Cave, and Lingquan Temple was raised by the Sangjia Society".

There is a big orange tree in the temple, which was planted by Jiahui when the temple was completed. It is said that this citrus tree can pick hundreds of kilograms of fruit every year, whether in dry years or frosty seasons. In 1980s, Daan Commune opened a citrus farm on barren hills, and technicians of the citrus farm often took their superiors to visit and inspect citrus trees in temples. Later, chemical fertilizer was applied, and the citrus trees slowly died. After the death of monk Jiahui, the "monk's tomb" near the temple was buried with inscriptions. Lingquan Temple was rebuilt at the initiative of Huang people in the 1990s. Up to now, the incense has reached its peak and tourists are constantly coming.
