Essays on Harbin Prose in the Ice and Snow

As a child from the south, I dream of wandering in Harbin, a northern ice and snow city. On the one hand, I yearn for the beautiful scenery of ice and snow, and on the other hand, I yearn for Harbin, a charming northeast city.

Harbin, as the most representative city in Northeast China, is second to none in China, whether it is a unique urban style or a paradise with the theme of ice sculpture of snow sculpture. Winter in the northeast is cold and long, and the lowest temperature can reach MINUS 30 degrees Celsius. As I set out in June of May, 5438+ 10, Harbin was still in the cold, so I prepared thick cotton-padded clothes, down jackets, cotton gloves and cotton shoes for emergencies.

I plan to fly to Harbin at Nanchang Changbei International Airport. After three and a half hours' flight, the plane landed at Harbin Taiping International Airport. At this point, the night has come. I decided to take the Airport Express to downtown Harbin. Before getting on the bus, I talked with my uncle with a strong northeast accent and asked about the scenic spots in Harbin. He suggested that I go to Central Street. I sat in the front seat and looked out the window at the roadside lights and shops on both sides of the road, which triggered my endless reverie about the city at night.

In the central street, there are Russian-style shops and various buildings everywhere. Standing in front of the central street, there are Russian snacks such as Da Lieba, Harbin sausage and Madill yogurt, as well as various handicraft dolls, which fully show the exquisite craftsmanship and rich food culture of Harbin people. The ground of the central street is paved with stone roads, and there are different styles of western-style buildings and schools on both sides, among which Renaissance and Baroque buildings are representative. At night, the buildings on both sides of the street emit bright lights, which makes people feel like they are in a dream. In the fairy tale world, there are many small ice sculptures on both sides of the street, with animal outlines, such as cats, bears and deer pulling sledges. There is a portrait of a person, such as a shy girl; There are also sculptures with various handicraft shapes, such as dolls; And advertising sculptures such as Harbin beer advertisement and Nongfu Spring; In addition, there are artificial ice ladders, ice castles and so on. There is an endless stream of pedestrians on the road. Some passers-by picked up lit fireworks and circled in the air, while others sold old Beijing and candied haws. Russian organ music, such as the classic song "Katyusha" of the former Soviet Union, was placed in the shop, interwoven with the cries of roadside vendors, and it was so enthusiastic and full of energy in the cold night of Harbin. From Jingwei Street to the end of Central Street, it is one of the most representative buildings in Harbin-the Flood Control Memorial Tower. However, as it was getting late at this time, I didn't continue here, but arranged my trip for the next morning.

The next morning, I crossed the central street from the hotel and came to the Flood Control Memorial Tower Square. 1958 flood control memorial tower was built to commemorate the victory of Harbin people in flood control. Behind the flood control memorial tower is Songhua River, the mother river of the people in Northeast China. At this time, at a low temperature close to MINUS 20 degrees, the ice surface of Songhua River is already more than one meter thick. As the saying goes, Rome was not built in a day. In such cold weather, the Songhua River, which was originally flowing, has long been crystal clear as jade.

Although the climate is so cold, the ice surface of Songhua River still attracts bustling tourists, and there are many recreational items on the ice, such as snowmobiling, dog sledding and ice karting. There are also some people holding horses to welcome tourists to experience riding. A closer look shows that it is somewhat different from the horses in the south. These horses are very strong, and the mane on their backs is light yellow, long and thick. A little further, there is a group of people skating not far away. Take a closer look, it is a big skating rink. Athletes wear professional helmets, knee pads and skates. They are vigorous and skilled. Whether accelerating or turning, the dripping action of every skater in the process of sliding has become another eye-catching bright spot on the Songhua River ice.

Because of time, Songhua River became my last stop in Harbin. The next day, I set off for home, ending this short and beautiful journey. However, the beautiful attachment to this city is as unforgettable as the ice and snow in Harbin.
