So I planned a one-day trip to Weiyuan to see sika deer, and then to Shuangshimen for a picnic.

This 16-year-old Volvo V40 is the car for this trip. It is my cousin’s car. The 1.5T 152 horsepower is more than enough for a single girl who only wants to travel in the city, and the on-board Many auxiliary driving configurations are very useful to her and avoid many accidents.

Since the distance is very short, it is only about 200 kilometers from Lanzhou, so we can take a round trip every day. We started from the city, took Nanshan Road to Lanzhou Nanshang Qinglan Expressway and walked 115 kilometers to Huichuanxia Expressway. Drive 21 kilometers on the Lanyu Line to the first stop, Huangxianggou. The scenery along the way is unpredictable. When you enter the tunnel, you will see the Danxia landform, but when you exit the tunnel, you will find jungles all over the mountains and plains. Especially when you walk to the Lanzhou-Chongqing line, there are grass, cattle and sheep, and streams flowing at the foot of the mountain, just like a fairyland on earth.

When you arrive at Huangxianggou, you first buy a ticket to enter the scenic spot. It costs 10 yuan per person and 5 yuan for a car. The price is very cheap. After entering the scenic spot, the rest of the road is full of gravel. It is very difficult for the V40 to walk. It hit the chassis several times. It is recommended that you drive an SUV and it will be difficult to get by.

The scenery becomes more beautiful as you go inside, and you can see the snow-capped mountains in the innermost part. Such large grasslands are very rare in Lanzhou, but they are everywhere around Lanzhou. The scenery is so beautiful that it is undeniable that the most beautiful thing about this place is the unknown wild flowers and grasses on the roadside. We found a piece of shade by the river and set up camp. We had made sufficient preparations for this trip. We brought hot pot and had a hot pot meal on the grass. Perhaps it was a psychological effect that made the meal particularly delicious. It's so comfortable to enjoy the beautiful scenery while tasting delicious food. But remember to take away the garbage after eating and restore it to its original condition.

After leaving Huangxianggou and walking along the county road towards Lanzhou for about 40 kilometers, you will reach the deer breeding base. For 10 yuan per person, you can go in and have close contact with sika deer. These roads are very good, as long as you don’t take the initiative to go there. They will not attack people if provoked. Perhaps these deer may have become spiritual after being in contact with people for a long time, and they will be more cooperative when you go to take pictures. When watching sika deer, be careful where you step. There is an inconspicuous stream in the grass and mud next to it. It is easy to step in, and don't chase the deer.

This old deer was the most cooperative with me in taking pictures. Maybe it really has become spiritual after being in contact with people. When I took pictures of it, it sat quietly and turned its head to look into the distance. Its eyes were very melancholy, or thinking of something. My hometown, or receiving so many tourists every day, I am very tired of the current life, and want to return to the past.

The Weiyuan line is suitable for friends from around Lanzhou. You can take a round trip in one day. It is suitable for taking your family to relax on weekends, get close to nature and breathe fresh air. But it is not recommended to drive a car, because the roads in Huangxianggou Scenic Area have not yet been developed and are very difficult to walk.
