Climate characteristics of Shaoxing

Summer is called "Yu Yue", also called Big Moon, or simply "Yue". During the Spring and Autumn Period, the Yue nationality was established in Shaoxing today, which is called "Yue State". In the twenty-fifth year of the King of Qin (222 BC), the Yue army was called Huiji County. Jin was called Hui Jiguo, and in the Southern Dynasties it was ruled by East Yangzhou.

In the ninth year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (589), he moved to Wu Zhou and ruled Huiji County. The first year of Daye (605) was called Yuezhou. Since then, the names of Yuezhou and Huiji County have been used alternately.
