The Historical Evolution of Zhongfang Town

Zhong Fang, the Chinese town, was built in the Hongwu period of Ming Dynasty (1368 ~ 1398). Sun, Ni and Tian were merged from time to time. Because the original village name "Fang" was heavy, it was named Chongfang.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the village was a post station from Tancheng to Yanzhou Funan Road. "Ganlong Tancheng County Records" contains: "Da 'an Township Export Society in the second year of Qing Yongzheng".

In the early years of the Republic of China, it was renamed Chongfang Town, which belongs to the third district of Tancheng County.

It was first liberated in 1944 and located in Pizhou, Jiangsu.

1947, the Kuomintang occupied this area and was the resident of Zhong Fang Township, Tancheng County.

1948 was liberated again and still belongs to Pizhou.

1958 After withdrawing from the district and merging into the township in February, it became the resident of Zhong Fang Township. In the same year, after the establishment of the association, it became the resident of Chongfang Commune.
