What are the climate types of Weihe Plain and Jianghan Plain respectively?

Weihe Plain belongs to temperate monsoon climate, and Jianghan Plain belongs to subtropical monsoon climate.

I. Weihe Plain

1, Weihe Plain, also known as Guanzhong Plain or Weihe Basin, is a graben structural plain. It is located between Qinling Mountain and Weibei Mountain (Laolongshan Mountain, Cragginess Mountain, Wangyaoshan Mountain, Yaoshan Mountain, Huanglong Mountain, Liangshan Mountain, etc.). ). It starts from Baoji in the west and reaches Tongguan in the east, with an altitude of about 323-800 meters, a length of about 350 kilometers from east to west and an area of about 36,000 square kilometers. Because it is between Hangu Pass (later also called Tongguan Pass) and Dasanguan Pass (once said to be between Hangu Pass, Dasanguan Pass, Wuguan Pass and Xiaoguan Pass), it was called "Guanzhong" in ancient times and also called "Qinzhong". The Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period were the hometown of Qin, including Xi 'an, Baoji, Xianyang, Weinan, Tongchuan and Yangling demonstration areas. It is about 350 kilometers long from east to west, with an average elevation of about 500 meters. Narrow in the west and wide in the east, it is known as "Qinchuan in 800 Li".

2. Weihe Plain has a temperate monsoon climate, with an annual average temperature of 6 ~ 13℃. In winter, the highest temperature in Leng Yue is 65438+ 10 month, with an average temperature of about -5℃. The hottest month in summer generally appears in July, with an average monthly temperature of about 30℃. The annual precipitation is 500 ~ 800 mm, of which 60% is from June to September, mostly short-term rainstorm, with less precipitation in winter and spring and frequent droughts in spring and summer.

Second, Jianghan Plain

1 Jianghan Plain is located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the middle and lower reaches of the Han River, in the south-central part of Hubei Province. It starts from Zhijiang in Yichang in the west, ends in Wuhan in the east and ends in Dongting Lake Plain in the north, covering an area of about 46,000 square kilometers, mainly including eight counties and cities in Jingzhou, namely Jingzhou District, Shashi District, jiangling county, Gongan County, Jianli County, Shishou City, honghu city City, Songzi City and Xiantao City. Jianghan Ping, named after its land crossing the Yangtze River and the Han River, is an important part of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, one of the three major plains in China.

2. Jianghan Plain has a subtropical monsoon climate, with an average annual sunshine hours of about 2,000 hours and an annual total solar radiation of about 460-480 kJ/cm2. The frost-free period is about 240 ~ 260 days, the duration above 10℃ is about 230 ~ 240 days, and the active accumulated temperature is 5 100 ~ 5300℃. All parts of the plain are suitable for growing warm crops such as cotton and rice. The annual average precipitation is1100 ~1300mm, and the precipitation from April to September with high temperature accounts for about 70% of the annual precipitation. Hanjiang river basin is an important channel for cold air to go south, and Jianghan plain bears the brunt. Low humidity and rainy weather often occur in spring and autumn, which makes the probability of dry seedling rot and empty shell rate of late rice in the second season higher. In case of years with long plum rains and heavy rains, early summer is prone to floods; Midsummer is often controlled by subtropical ridge; There are many sunny days in autumn and many droughts in summer and autumn.
