What is the grafting method of peony?

Red peony, also known as red peony, red light, red ball, cactus family. Oblate, 3 ~ 5cm in diameter, red, crimson or purplish red. There are 8 ~ 12 edges, and there are thorns on the edges, and the short thorns are radial or fall off. Flowers in spring and summer are trumpet-shaped and pink, mostly on the thorn base near the top, and flowers are constantly blooming at the same time. The fruit is slender, spindle-shaped and red. Easy ball

I like warmth and sunshine. The more I bask in the direct sunlight, the redder the sphere becomes. When it is hot in summer, the sun is strong, so it needs 50% ~ 60% shading, and pay attention to ventilation. The optimum growth temperature is 20 ~ 25℃, and the overwintering temperature is not lower than 8℃. Native to all parts of South America, it is cultivated in greenhouses or families in China.

Grafting propagation. Peony bulbs have no chlorophyll, and must be grafted and propagated with green feet, cactus and cactus as rootstocks. Grafting should be carried out at the peak of peony growth, with May-June or September as the best. Strengthen the management of rootstock before grafting to make it grow sturdily. Grafting should be carried out when the weather is clear, so that the incision can be dried quickly, which is conducive to survival. The tools used must be sharp and clean to make the incision smooth and pollution-free. The shorter the operation time, the better the survival rate. The pith of peony bulb should be aligned with the pith of rootstock, and gently pressed to make it closely combined. The specific method is as follows:

Grafting with measuring ruler (triangular arrow) as rootstock: ① make a cut on the measuring ruler with a clean and disinfected sharp knife to make the blade smooth and hairless; (2) Choose the plump peony ball on the right, and the diameter of the ball should be above 0.5 cm, which is convenient for operation. Cut a knife across the lower part of the ball, which is about 1/5 of the height of the ball. The requirements are the same as above; (3) Align the pith centers of the two and tie them with thin thread; (4) The grafted plant is kept in a place without direct sunlight. After one week, the scion and the rootstock begin to bond, and the bonding line can be removed. At this time, the interface is not firmly healed. Do not touch it, and do not let the interface get wet. After 2 weeks, the cultivation management can be carried out according to the general situation.

Grafting cactus as rootstock: ① cutting cactus selected as rootstock into duckbill shape; (2) the lower part of the peony bulb is flattened, and the pith is split with a knife, the width is the same as that of the rootstock duckbill, and the depth is the same as that of the duckbill; ③ Insert the rootstock into the pulp incision of peony, and insert the fine bamboo needle from the side to fix it. 1 ~ 2 weeks should be kept in a dry, ventilated and cool place.

Grafted plants should be placed in a ventilated and sunny place, and should be moderately shaded and rainproof in midsummer. Apply thin water and fertilizer every other week in peak season. Don't water it too much. Use it both wet and dry. The water falls along the edge of the basin instead of directly on the ball. Move indoors in time after autumn, put it in a sunny place and control watering. The common pest is red spider, which can be treated with dimethoate 800 ~ 1000 times.

The grafted red peony is bright in color and red in green column (tree), which makes people fondle it and is suitable for potted viewing.
