What is the "rainy season" in Shanghai?

The rainy season is a continuous stage of regional climate phenomenon. Because it is roughly equivalent to the ripening time of plums, it is named.

Meiyu, also known as Huangmeitian, refers to the natural climate phenomenon of cloudy and rainy in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, Taiwan Province Province, south-central Japan, South Korea and other places every year from the middle and late June to the first half of July. Because plum rains occur in the mature period of plums in the south of the Yangtze River, China people call this climate phenomenon "plum rains" or "plum rains season". During the rainy season, the air humidity is high, the temperature is high, and clothes are easy to get moldy, so some people call the rainy season "moldy rain" with the same sound.
