Many rural areas in China are basically built by mountains and rivers, and so is our village, which is backed by mountains and surrounded by streams. When I was a child, the conditions were basically poor, and there were no electrical appliances at home. No matter what housework I do, it is solved by manpower. Just like washing clothes, my mother goes to the stream to wash with a basket all year round.

Now, with the development of science and technology and the improvement of living standards in rural areas, every household has lived a life of using electrical appliances. However, when we go back to the countryside, we will find a phenomenon. Many people have washing machines at home, but they still go to the stream to wash clothes.

Therefore, naturally, many people will wonder why they like to go to the stream to wash clothes when there is a washing machine. In fact, there are three main reasons:

First, many rural people still have an inherent concept that they are unwilling to use washing machines in order to save money. Because the washing machine washes clothes for more than half an hour at a time, the water and electricity are more powerful, which will increase their expenses.

In addition, rural people always have a mentality that expensive things are often reluctant to use, just as they are reluctant to drive a car and dare not use less at a time. So, usually nothing, I'd rather spend some time washing myself.

Second, most of the rural areas are old people, and most of the young people go out to earn money, leaving the old people and children behind. For the elderly, this kind of electric appliance, washing machine, is unaccustomed and cannot be used. It's not enough to spend a long time studying. It's better to wash yourself for a while.

Third, many clothes worn by rural people do farm work, and the clothes are dirty, so it is difficult to wash them with a washing machine, and it is also difficult to recycle waste water. The water in the stream is flowing and easy to wash.
