How to distinguish between rainstorm and thunderstorm?

Heavy rain refers to rain with high precipitation intensity, which is often formed in cumulonimbus clouds. According to China's meteorological regulations, rain with hourly rainfall exceeding 16 mm or continuous 12 hour rainfall exceeding 30 mm and 24-hour rainfall exceeding 50 mm is called "rainstorm".

Before the rainstorm comes, the meteorological department will issue an early warning signal to the society. According to the order from weak to strong, the rainstorm warning signal is divided into four levels, which are represented by blue, yellow, orange and red respectively.

When it thunders in a thunderstorm, a lot of negative ions will be produced in the air. When they collide with each other, an electric charge is generated. These negative ions will attach to relatively high objects, which will easily lead to lightning. When lightning strikes, it will bring a lot of current. Because the tree is not a good conductor, the resistance of the trunk is relatively large, so the current will stop flowing directly from the tree to the earth. In the process of sheltering from the rain in the tree, when the lightning of this big tree comes down and reaches the top of the person's head, an arc flashes down, hits the person's head after flashing, and then pours into the ground through the human body, so it is not suitable to stand under the tree to shelter from the rain in thunderstorm weather.
