Especially in rainy areas and coastal areas, many families have a headache for the wet floor. Then, when the floor encounters a wet crisis, what methods should be used for first aid?

Crisis 1: The floor is wet.

In daily life, things that accidentally spill water on the floor happen from time to time. What should I do? In fact, if only a small amount of water is spilled on the floor, and the stay time is not long, just dry the water on the floor with a dry rag. Because of the small amount of water and short time, water will not penetrate into the floor, which has little influence on the floor and does not need to be overly nervous.

What if the floor is flooded more seriously?

If the floor is accidentally soaked, it can also be treated urgently by simple methods to avoid mildew on the floor. For wood floors that are not seriously flooded, the water on the surface can be sucked dry in a short time, and then the water vapor at the joint gap of the floor can be sucked away with a vacuum cleaner. Small area, you can use a hair dryer with cold air to dry the floor gap.

If the flooded area is large, after the water on the floor surface is removed, it can be directly cooled and dehumidified by air conditioning. Seal the doors and windows of the room, adjust the air conditioner to the lowest temperature, and adjust the cooling time of the air conditioner according to the actual situation. Generally, the floor can be done in a day or so.

Crisis 3: The floor is moldy.

Tip: Treat mildew spots with bleach.

If the floor is not treated in time, it is easy to grow mildew spots, and it will be moldy in a large area after a long time.

If you find a small amount of mildew spots on the floor, you can mix warm bleach with water at the ratio of 1:3, and wipe the floor with a wet rag until the mildew spots are removed. The concentration of bleach should not be too high, otherwise it will destroy the floor wax on the floor surface and make the friction part of the floor fade.

If the local floor is mildewed, the mildewed floor should be removed immediately and replaced with a new one, so as to avoid mildew infecting other intact floors and causing mildew in a large area. And take other measures to ensure indoor dryness and prevent mildew again.

Crisis 4: The floor is soaked in water.

If you forget to close the window at home on a windy and rainy day, the poor floor will probably be soaked by the rain and become a floating board in the Wang Yang when you get home.

Laminated flooring has the characteristics of easy care, wear-resistant surface, difficult deformation after laying, good impact resistance and flame retardancy, and is deeply loved by consumers. Its water resistance is higher than other floors. Usually pour a small glass of water on the floor, just dry the surface as soon as possible. Even if a large area is soaked in water, as long as it does not exceed 10 hour, timely treatment will not lead to "catastrophic" consequences.

After the strengthened floor is soaked in water, remove the furniture on the floor, try not to step on it, and quickly drain the surface water on the floor. Then take off the skirting line at the edge of the floor as soon as possible to expose the expansion joints of the floor and rely on the expansion joints to emit water vapor. Remember never to pry up the floor to dry, which will damage the strengthened floor and may not be used again.

According to the degree of water inflow, it usually takes about seven to fifteen days to completely dry. For floors with good quality or short soaking time, they can be repaired by themselves. If they are found to be warped or the flatness cannot be restored after 15 days, they should be replaced.

Because the solid wood floor is pure solid wood, it retains the natural properties of wood: it is easy to deform after absorbing water. After the solid wood floor is soaked, the water on the surface should be dried as soon as possible, and at the same time, the vacuum cleaner can be aimed at the splicing gap of the soaked floor to absorb the water vapor. Or use a hair dryer to blow the seam with cold air until it is dry, but don't use hot air to prevent the surface from cracking and deformation due to heating and drying.

If the solid wood floor is flooded in a large area, it is very important to keep the floor dry and not deformed in the shade. After the surface layer is treated, pry the floor from the gap of the expansion joint, dry it one by one with absorbent cloth, and pile it into a "well" shape. The bottom of the floor should be raised, with the reverse side of the floor facing upward to prevent the surface from cracking due to too fast drying, and put it in a ventilated place to dry in the shade. Under normal circumstances, as long as the disaster is not serious, the rescue is timely, and the floor is dried in the shade, professionals can use it again.

3. After the composite floor is soaked in water, it is combined with strengthening and solid wood treatment.

The advantage of composite floor is that it not only strengthens the stability of the floor, but also retains the natural feeling of solid wood floor on the floor surface. Therefore, the first-aid method of composite floor after soaking in water is to strengthen the combination of post-treatment method of floor and solid wood floor. Although the waterproof performance of composite floor is better than that of solid wood, its surface is pure solid wood, so it should be treated according to the actual situation after soaking in water.

If it is a small area with little water, treat the dry ground water as soon as possible, and suck up the water soaked in the cracks in the floor with a vacuum cleaner or a cold air blower. If a large area is flooded, the skirting line around it should be removed as soon as possible and the flooded floor should be pried up. Similarly, the space should be padded with bricks or other things, and the floor should be stacked in the shade with the word "well". At the same time, open floors and floors with only the surface immersed in water can be dried by fans. Generally speaking, good quality composite floors with soaking time less than 12 hours and emergency measures can be repaved after drying.
