What are the characteristics of smog weather in China?

Haze weather is a common weather phenomenon in autumn and winter in central and eastern China. By analyzing the changing characteristics of other environmental factors such as atmospheric relative humidity, wind speed, temperature and PM2.5 mass concentration, it is shown that the haze weather is formed by the interaction of meteorological factors and environmental factors. High relative humidity and static wind are the basic meteorological conditions for the formation of haze weather. Under these conditions, the water vapor in the air is easily supersaturated and condensed into fog. On the other hand, particulate matter also tends to accumulate rapidly. Due to the scattering and extinction of visible light by particulate matter, visibility is reduced and smog pollution is formed. China mainly uses coal as energy, and the dust generated after burning coal is also an important part of smog.
