Cement concrete mixing (laboratory sampling) → kerb prefabrication → maintenance → construction lofting → preparation of lower bearing layer (subbase) → kerb installation.

1, cement concrete mixing

1) adopt drum concrete mixer to mix, determine the water content of gravel and sand before mixing, and adjust the construction mixture ratio according to the weather change.

2) Control the dosage of various materials in strict accordance with the mixture ratio approved by the supervision engineer, and weigh them with a scale to ensure the accuracy of the dosage, and allow the error strictly according to the quality.

Control within the range specified in the specification: cement 1%, crushed stone 3%, sand 3%, water 1%.

3) Before formal mixing, mix with proper amount of mortar, discard after mixing, and then mix according to the specified mixture ratio.

4) The feeding sequence of the mixer is: sand, cement and crushed stone. After feeding, add water while stirring.

5) Strictly control the mixing time of each plate of concrete and its shortest mixing time (continuous mixing time from all materials entering mixing and expanding to concrete discharging).

6) In the mixing process, arrange the laboratory technician to supervise the mixing materials, ensure the quality of cement concrete, and take samples from the laboratory to make test pieces for compressive strength test.

2. Prefabrication

Precast kerb molding machine shall be adopted, and the dimensions shown in the drawings shall be strictly followed. Precast kerbs have sufficient strength, impact resistance, weather resistance and smooth surface.

3. Health

After the kerbs are prefabricated, cover them immediately and water them for seven days.

4, construction lofting

After the subbase is paved and solidified, the curb construction lofting will be carried out, and the curb installation control points (one point per10m) will be set out according to the width of the central median.

5. Clean the lower bearing layer

After the lofting, clean the surface of subbase, remove the debris such as gravel, sand and clay on the surface, make the surface clean and tidy, and sprinkle kerbs before installation.

6. Device

1) First, spread a layer of mortar on the surface of the subbase along the kerb installation control line to ensure the accuracy of the kerb plane position and elevation.

2) After the mortar is leveled, place kerbs and tick off joints. Before hooking off the joint, check whether the side and top surface of the placed kerb are smooth and whether the joint width is reached.

Meet the requirements, re-adjust the unqualified ones, and then tick off the seam.

After paving kerbs, the quality inspection team will test straightness, joint width, height difference between two adjacent blocks and top elevation (the testing frequency and results meet the requirements in the table below).
