What do you mean by wind blowing snow?

Wind blowing snow is a kind of multiphase flow weather phenomenon in which scattered snow particles run near the ground with the help of airflow, also known as snow flow, snow blowing for short, commonly known as white-haired wind.

According to the intensity, it can be divided into three categories: low blowing, high blowing and blizzard.

It is a complex and special liquid, which is harmful. Wind-blown snow mostly occurs in snow-covered areas with high latitude, high altitude and large topographic relief. In Xinjiang, China, it is mainly produced in northern Xinjiang and Tianshan Mountains. The phenomenon of "wind blowing snow" often happens after the snow stops, usually on a sunny day.

According to the blowing height of snow particles, the intensity of blowing snow and its influence on visibility, it can be divided into three categories:

1, low snow blowing means that the snow on the ground is blown close to the ground by airflow, and the blowing height is below 2 meters.

2. High snow blowing means that the strong airflow rolls up the snow on the ground, the blowing height is more than 2 meters, and the horizontal visibility is less than 10 km.

3. Blizzard refers to a large amount of snow coming with the storm, with wind speed greater than 1 7.2m/s, accompanied by strong cooling, and horizontal visibility less than1km (it is difficult to judge whether there is snowfall in the sky).
