How high is Songpan?

Songpan is 2850 meters above sea level.

There are obvious differences between the eastern and western landforms in Songpan County, mainly in Zhongshan. The terrain is obviously undulating and the relative height difference is relatively large. Lengzikou in Baiyang Township has the lowest elevation of1080m, Xuebaoding, the main peak of Minshan Mountain, has the highest elevation of 5588m, and the county seat is 2850m.

Songpan county is located in the middle of Minshan Mountain range and belongs to the eastern edge of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. There are obvious differences in topography between the east and the west, ranging from steep wall peaks and narrow valleys in the southeast to gently open hilly plateau and high plains in the northwest.

The overall terrain of the county is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. Songpan geology:

Songpan County is divided into Motianling Community in West Qinling and Jinchuan Community in Marcand, bounded by Lotus Leaf Fault, Minjiang Fault and Xueshan Fault. The northern margin is the Kunlun-Qinling banded structural belt.

The southwest is the northeast polygon structural belt of Longmen Mountain, which is composed of Kang-Dian zigzag giants. According to this structural position, the territory is divided into north-south structural belt, east-west structural belt and arc structural belt.
