What are the climate characteristics of my country?
The main characteristics of my country's climate can be summarized into two main aspects. One is the complex and changeable climate types, and the other is the prominent continental monsoon climate.
my country has a vast territory, with a large span from north to south, and a variety of thermal zones such as tropical, subtropical and temperate zones. This is the main basic reason for the complex and diverse climate types in my country.
At the same time, our country is one of the regions with the most developed monsoon climate in the world. In winter, controlled by the Asian high pressure, cold and dry northerly land winds prevail. In summer, controlled by the northwest Pacific subtropical high pressure, moist and warm southerly airflow from the sea prevails, making it warm, humid and rainy.
China’s climate types
1. Tropical monsoon: including southern Taiwan Province, Leizhou Peninsula, Hainan Island and Xishuangbanna.
2. Subtropical monsoon: Most parts of South China and East China belong to this type of climate. Summer temperatures are quite high and winter temperatures are quite low.
3. Temperate monsoon: North China has this type of climate. Due to climate warming and other reasons, hot weather occurs frequently in southern North China, but the average temperature still does not exceed 25°C.
4. Plateau and mountainous areas: China’s Qinghai-Tibet Plateau has this type of climate. The daily temperature range is large but the annual range is small, but the solar radiation is strong and the sunshine is sufficient.
5. Temperate continental: Broadly including temperate desert climate, temperate grassland climate and subarctic coniferous forest climate. In the narrow sense, excluding the humid latter, most of China's inland areas north of 40° north latitude have a temperate continental climate. Precipitation is scarce in these areas, and the daily and annual temperature ranges are large, such as Xinjiang in my country.
6. Tropical rain forest: China’s Nansha Islands belong to this type of climate. It is hot and rainy all year round with abundant rainfall.
