Under the scorching sun, our gas workers did not slow down the pace of construction because of the heat. They worked in an orderly manner as usual.

Even with a high temperature of 37 degrees, there are still 20 workers working on the project.

On the morning of June 2, as usual, Li Honglin, the foreman of the Fourth Project Department, equipped the tools and materials needed for today's construction site and set off with the construction workers before six o'clock.

When we arrived at the construction site, we first discharged the safety equipment, then set up scaffolding, placed the tools reasonably, surrounded the construction area, conducted visual management and risk identification, and Li Honglin conducted quality and safety inspections on the personnel involved in the construction. After the construction was completed, the introduction pipe connection project of Binjiang Real Estate Phase III began.

Under the high temperature of 37 degrees, the employees were lifting and installing the pipes, grinding and welding, and their sweat had already soaked into their work clothes. However, they did not slack off at all. They studied the drawings, conducted safety self-inspections, and were always focused and serious.

The leadership team acted separately. Manager Sun Jingbo and deputy manager Zhao Xibin led safety and office personnel to the Nangang, Xiangfang, and Daowai construction sites to express condolences.

On June 2, the hottest day, the company’s leadership team personally led the team and organized relevant departments to deliver water and heatstroke prevention and cooling supplies to the front line. We are responsible for construction sites in Donghong Yijing, China South City, Hadong Road and other areas. Walking on the country road, I felt the journey of the frontline employees... The bumpy road was filled with smoke and dust, and the heat waves kept coming in waves. The plants on the roadside were covered with a layer of dust, and they swayed listlessly in the sun. . Some of the construction sites are vast expanse of wilderness, with no villages in front of them, no shops behind them, and no place for shade. Some are far away from the urban areas and have not yet been formed in residential areas. The construction workers are working under the scorching sun and sweating profusely. Workers here travel to and from the construction site, traveling nearly 100 kilometers, and just commuting to and from get off work will waste 2 to 3 hours. Only by working from early in the morning to late at night can workers ensure that the work is completed on time. Every day they get up at 4 o'clock in the morning and rush to the construction site early. At night, there is no time to get off work. They can only go home after finishing the day's work. , sometimes we work until 7 or 8 o'clock...

After more than an hour of running around, we arrived at the Donghong Yijing construction site at around 10 o'clock, and just in time to catch up with the second project department doing anti-corrosion , there was a scorching sun above our heads, and spray guns were flying up and down on the ground. The sun was scorching above and the spray gun was scorching below. The temperature at that time should have been about 40 degrees. I saw that the embalmer workers’ faces were burned red, their clothes were soaked, and the sweat had soaked down their bodies and onto their thighs. Seeing this scene, I was shocked... They have no gorgeous appearance, no prominent position, and will not be the center of attention, but they stick to their posts every day and never leave. They are the loveliest people who are unknown to us...

"Shocking" is indeed shocking. This is another feeling besides the heat. Not to mention working, just standing in such an environment for 10 minutes will give you a suffocating feeling. Heat will come out of your nostrils; heat waves will come one after another. If you have not been to the site, it would be difficult to imagine such weather, such an environment, and such a group of people who silently dedicated themselves and sweated to the gas industry. Although the weather was hot, the construction never stopped for a moment. The construction vehicles whizzing by occasionally brought up a trail of smoke and dust.

The place where they are constructing is far away from the urban area, with no villages or shops in front of them. At noon, a scrapped van at the construction site became a temporary kitchen and lounge for front-line construction workers. They set up the stove outside, cooked some simple meals, and worked hard at the construction site. When they were tired, they could only lean on the construction truck for a while. At the end of the day, their whole bodies were soaked with sweat. According to on-site construction workers: “The working area is basically under the scorching sun every day, and we sweat profusely every day. Although the weather is a bit unbearable, we must complete the project tasks on time.

You need to drink at least 7 or 8 bottles of water a day to cool down, and you can drink one bottle in one breath. When I returned home at night, my work clothes were already soaked with sweat. It took three or four washes to remove the sweat, and even after drying, there were patches of white sweat stains."
