1. Huzhou is located in the north of Zhejiang, in the middle of Changzhou, Suzhou, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Jiaxing and Xuancheng in Anhui Province, and on the south bank of Taihu Lake. It is the only city around Taihu Lake in China. It has a total area of 5,820 square kilometers and a population of 3.027 million.

2. Huzhou is one of the key cities in the Yangtze River Delta region 14 with Shanghai Pudong as the leader. In 2006, it was rated as one of the top ten charming cities in China by CCTV.

Huzhou belongs to a typical subtropical monsoon climate in the south of the Yangtze River. It is hot in summer and mild in winter, with four distinct seasons and abundant rainfall. The annual average temperature 16.3 degrees celsius and the annual total precipitation 1303.4 mm.

On April 30th, 20 19, the People's Government of Zhejiang Province issued a document agreeing to establish Huzhou South Taihu New District, covering the core area of Huzhou South Taihu Industrial Cluster, Huzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone and all areas of Huzhou Taihu Tourism Resort.
