China and India are both countries located in Asia. Both countries are big countries with a population of over 654.38 billion, but their land areas are quite different. China has a land area of 9.6 million square kilometers, while India has only 2.98 million square kilometers. In terms of climate, Indian climate is mainly tropical monsoon climate, while China has five climate types: tropical monsoon climate, subtropical monsoon climate, temperate monsoon climate, temperate continental climate and alpine climate.

Obviously, the climate in China is much more complicated than that in India. From the point of view of temperature, if India and China make an overall comparison, then the annual average temperature in India is much higher than that in China. There are two main influencing factors here. The first is the latitude factor. On the whole, the global heat decreases from the equator to the poles, while the latitude of India is about10 n to 30 N, which is mainly located in the tropics, while the latitude of China is about 20 N to 50 N, with only a few areas located in the tropics and most areas located in the subtropics and temperate zones.

The second aspect is the terrain factor. India is located in South Asia, south of the Himalayas. The mountains and plateaus in the north block the cold air from Eurasia, thus increasing the temperature in winter in India. However, China, especially the eastern region, is relatively flat, and the northwest monsoon from the Asian high is weak, thus reducing the average temperature in winter in China. There is also a huge Qinghai-Tibet alpine region in China, which is always in a low temperature state because of its high altitude.

South China is subtropical, and most of it belongs to temperate zone. India is basically subtropical and the south is tropical.

Due to the barrier of Himalayas, all the water vapor in the Indian Ocean remains on the Indian side, so the Ganges and Brahmaputra river basins in northern India are extremely suitable for farming. South India is a tropical plateau with abundant rainfall, but it is not suitable for farming and is suitable for planting cash crops. So the southern peninsula lives mostly in rivers and seaside.
