Golden weather

4~6 kg.

In the north, it is very cold in winter. If you cover that kind of high-grade eiderdown quilt, it will cost about five pounds. Space cotton should weigh six or seven kilograms. If it's pure cotton made by my mother, it's the warmest, almost ten kilograms, and it has to be new cotton.

In the south, you can also use a space cotton cover, about seven pounds, and you can be a little more afraid of the cold. Turning on the air conditioner is another matter. Because there is no heating in the buildings in the south.

In the past, when the fiber variety was relatively single and the technology of making quilts was not so advanced, there were only quilts and silk quilts. Winter quilts are generally heavier, because the temperature is lower in winter, so it is best to have heavier quilts to keep warm.

Generally between 6 kg and 10 kg. But the silk quilt is much lighter than the quilt because of its good warmth. It may be that the silk quilt weighing three or four pounds keeps warm very well.

But it's different now. Now there are many kinds of quilts, including wool quilts, duvets and chemical fiber quilts. These quilts are lighter, but they have better thermal insulation.

Selection of quilt fabric

Generally, cotton fabric, silk fabric or linen fabric will be selected. Cotton fabrics wrinkle and are not suitable for use in winter. In summer, most quilts will be made of silk fabric, which is comfortable and breathable.

Linen quilts are not widely used in China, but they are relatively cold to use, and are mostly used in spring and autumn. Others will choose a quilt with sanded fabric, and the liner is made of mulberry silk.

Personally, I think high count cotton cloth is the best. The quilt with high count cotton has high fabric count and high fabric density, which is very comfortable to use, but expensive.
