How to write an essay about Mount Wutai?

Wutai Mountain is located in the northern part of Wutai County, a Buddhist holy land with a circumference of 250 kilometers. It is known as the first of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China. In the early morning of July 23, our family of three and my grandma got on the bus to Mount Wutai. This trip was organized by a monastery in Boshan. Although I was reluctant, it still didn't help.

It was a full 11-hour drive from Zibo to Wutai County. The time on the bus was the most difficult to pass. Thanks to me downloading a few videos before leaving, I managed to survive a few hours. hours. I had to fall asleep on the bumpy bus for the rest of the journey. We finally arrived at our destination at 7pm and checked into the hotel where we would spend three days.

The next morning, after a night of recuperating, I was already full of energy and ready for the day's itinerary. Today’s itinerary is to worship the Wutai, which is divided into five high platforms: east, west, south, north and middle. We first went to Zhongtai, Nantai and Xitai. We thought we could climb Wutai on foot, but we ended up having to take a car. This news made my mood instantly fall into an abyss. The drive this time was not as smooth as the one on the highway. It was full of uneven mountain roads. The car was rocking back and forth as if it was about to fly out. To be honest, I don’t believe in Buddhism, but out of respect for religious culture, I still reluctantly strictly abide by various cumbersome rituals. Because of this, various temples cannot arouse my interest at all, but the strange natural scenery attracts my attention more. Groups of cattle and horses gnawed on young grass leisurely on the grassland, but they never saw a herdsman managing them. The cow here doesn't seem to be afraid of humans. Standing in front of hundreds of people, it doesn't move at all. It seems that it is accustomed to the scenery in front of it and is not surprised.

After a short lunch, we headed to Beitai. Beitai is the highest section of Wutai Mountain, with an altitude of 3,058 meters. It is known as the "Roof of North China". It is cold and warm, with no trees on the top and solid ice accumulated over the years. In this hot summer, it is only about 11 or 2 degrees Celsius. Looking down from the top of the mountain, you can see a strange scenery shrouded in clouds and mist, like a fairyland. On the way to Dongtai, the dark clouds gradually came down, a few flashes of lightning flashed in the sky, and a few raindrops fell slightly. We hurried down the mountain when we saw that something was not going well. Before we could stop, a heavy rain suddenly fell, catching those who were still heading to the west platform unprepared. With a little regret, we returned to the hotel.

At 4:30 in the morning the next day, I was awakened by a rapid knock on the door. The most important task today was to go to the Buddha Mother Cave. It is said that the most important thing for many people to come to Mount Wutai. The purpose is to drill into the Buddha Mother Cave. It is said that Fomu Cave is a limestone cave formed thousands of years ago. It has a mysterious and strange shape and is very magical. It can be said to be unique in the world. Legend has it that thousands of Buddhas once came and went, and it was a scenic spot that gave birth to Buddhist children. As soon as I got off the car, I rushed out. There were 1,500 gentle and spacious steps from the bottom of the mountain to Buddha Mother Cave. Halfway through, I couldn't climb anymore and had to move up slowly. After climbing for more than half an hour, we finally reached the top of the mountain. The Buddha Mother Cave hasn't opened yet, but the front is already lined with tourists like us who came here to visit it. Seeing this formation made me understand why I had to go up the mountain and queue up so early. Just waiting in line for about 4 hours, this process is really a painful ordeal, but it better reflects how desirable the Buddha Mother Cave is. It is said that drilling into the Buddha Mother Cave can unlock wisdom and eliminate all diseases. Although I don't believe this superstitious statement, I am still attracted by its mysterious veil. The team moved forward little by little, which made me finally see hope. Finally, after 4 hours of queuing, we entered the Buddha Mother Cave. There is a Buddha statue in the center of the cave entrance, and behind the Buddha statue is the entrance to the Buddha Mother Cave. With the help of everyone pushing and pulling, I finally managed to get in. The rocks in the cave are protruding, but they are full of charm, as if they were carved. It is really a treasure given to mankind by nature. After a long morning of running around and the fact that I hadn’t even eaten breakfast, I was so hungry that I couldn’t walk when I was going down the mountain. Dad noticed something strange about me at a glance and took the initiative to treat us to a bowl of authentic Shanxi food. Knife noodles. At this time, I no longer cared about savoring it carefully. I wolfed down a large bowl of shaved noodles into my stomach. The taste can only be described with one word: good.

In the afternoon we visited Xiantong Temple, Tayuan Temple, Bodhisattva Summit and other historical temples, among which Xiantong Temple is the most majestic. It is called a royal temple, and the roof is entirely painted with gold paint, which highlights its noble status. There are also the original imperial calligraphy works of Emperor Qianlong in the courtyard, which are particularly precious.

The third day of the trip is also our last trip. In the morning we will go to Wuye Temple to worship. It is said that Wuye is the fifth son of the Dragon King and can bless people with abundant wealth. This stop is a must for those seeking wealth. Then we went to Daluoding together and met an expert. During the break, an armless old man caught my eye. He used his only half-foot-long arms to write good calligraphy. The handwriting is majestic, and each stroke contains profound brushwork. Seeing this scene, I went up and chatted with him for a few words. Before leaving, he wrote a picture for me as a souvenir, which made me respect him even more.

When we were going down the mountain, I accompanied my grandma to take the cable car down the mountain. Looking down from the cable car, the dense forest covered the entire Big Luoding. What a natural scenery lined with green trees!

It’s time for free activities in the afternoon. This time our family will split up. My father, grandma and I went to buy some souvenirs and food for tomorrow, while my mother went to Sanquan Temple alone. But something unexpected happened, and it started pouring as soon as we got off the bus. Fortunately, we escaped by hiding in the bus station. The weather in Wutai Mountain is very strange. The two places are less than one kilometer apart. It is raining heavily on one side, but the ground on the other side is not even wet. My father and I carried two large bags of stuff in a short time, mostly food. After all, we would have to drive for more than ten hours tomorrow, so of course we had to be well prepared.

The next day we got ready to board the bus home, left the beautiful Mount Wutai, and headed for our warmest harbor. This trip to Mount Wutai left me with wonderful memories, which will turn into a bunch of waves to enrich the ocean of memory. I hope this beautiful memory can turn into a leaf and leave my emotions in this beautiful Mount Wutai forever.
