Jiming Mountain and Ji Ming Post

The first time I saw Jiming Mountain was in the summer of 20 10, and I left Badaling, Beijing, for Datong. On the way from Zhuolu County to Xuanhua, you can see the towering Jiming Mountain from a distance, especially at the edge of the wide Yanghe Sanggan River valley. At the foot of the mountain is the ancient city of Jimingyi, surrounded by a complete square wall. The ancient city wall has been repaired, but the main part of the city wall remains the original appearance.

Entering Ji Ming Post Station from the East Gate, the four characters "Jiming Mountain Post Station" are written above the city gate, which just illustrates the relationship between this ancient post station and Jiming Mountain. Although the city walls have been completely restored, the original appearance of the ancient city has been basically maintained in the city, and most of them have been worn out. There is an old stage in the ancient city, a post office in the Ming Dynasty, a temple of the God of Wealth, and a courtyard where Cixi once lived for one night when she fled to the west.

According to the city profile, "Ji Ming Post is the largest, best preserved and most functional ancient city in China, and is listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit. Ji Ming Post was founded in the Yuan Dynasty. 12 19, Genghis Khan led his troops westward, set up a post road on the road to the western regions, and set up a "post station red" (that is, a post station). By Yongle 18 (1420) in Ming Dynasty, Jiming Station had been expanded to be the first stop for Xuanhua Prefecture to enter the capital, and there were post offices, post offices, horse numbers and other buildings in the city. During the reign of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty, under the supervision of Cheng Yi, there were 250 permanent post soldiers, 45 post men and 82 post horses, with an annual salary of more than 3,000 yuan.

Ji Ming Post Station built an earth wall in the eighth year of Chenghua in Ming Dynasty (1472) and a brick city in the fourth year of Qin Long (1570). The circumference of the city is 2330m, and the height of the city wall is12m. On the south of the east-west wall, there are two gates: "Jiming Hill" and "Gas Rushing Bullfighting".

Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty visited here. In the 26th year of Guangxu (1900), Eight-Nation Alliance occupied Beijing, and Empress Dowager Cixi fled to the west and stayed at Jiming Post Station. In July of the lunar calendar, Cixi and Emperor Guangxu lived in Hejia Courtyard under the escort of Royal Guards. That night, Cixi lived in the East Room of the North Yard of the Second Hospital, and Emperor Guangxu lived in the East Wing. Up to now, there are still four regular script characters carved with bricks on the gable of Erjinyuan, which are the memorials of Empress Dowager Cixi. "

On the same day, I briefly visited Ji Ming Postal City and passed by Upper garden village. Not far from Jiming Mountain, I have seen it many times from G6 Expressway or National Highway 1 10, but I have never climbed to the top. Until recently, I was able to climb it by chance.

From the lower garden to the east, along the mountain, a few kilometers to the Jiming Mountain ticket office halfway up the mountain. Not far from it, there is a Buddhist temple under construction, and there is a tall tower next to it, which was also built in recent years. Seen from the foot of the mountain, the tower is halfway up the mountain.

Enter the gate and climb the stairs. It takes about an hour to climb to the top of the mountain. There are several temples on the mountainside, such as the Temple of Wealth, Kannonji and Yongning Temple. Most of the existing buildings have been restored in recent years. The road is tortuous and the height climbs rapidly. Most mountains are covered with shrubs. A closer look reveals a budding rhododendron tree on the roadside.

Arriving at the top of the mountain, I found that the top of the mountain is a narrow line, which extends far from north to south and only a few meters from east to west. From the top of the mountain to the south, there are Typhoon Bridge, Nantianmen, Lingguan Temple, Huangyuting Temple and Bi Xia Yuan Jun Temple. Some relics still exist, and most of the main buildings have been rebuilt in recent years. On the other side, the observation deck has only a pile of residues, column foundations and wall bricks. A man of heart built several simple Buddhist temples with bricks and enshrined small Buddha statues in them.

Jiming Mountain is a solitary peak pushed by the earthquake one billion years ago, and it is known as "a pillar towering above the sky". The ancients named it "Feilaifeng". Hao Jing, a poet in Yuan Dynasty, once described the majestic Jiming Mountain with "a strange peak towering into the sky". Most of the mountain in Jiming Mountain is carbonate limestone, and some of the surface is composed of mineral rocks and shale. Blue-glowing rocks are the sediments of Mesoproterozoic Jixian period (Wumishan Formation) years ago. There are limestone and coal in the mountains, which have been developed. Due to the special mountain structure, the ancient strata of Jimingshan are above the Cenozoic strata, with Proterozoic Sinian strata at the top, Mesozoic Jurassic strata at the mountainside and Cenozoic Quaternary strata at the foot. Lianhuashan fault extends longitudinally from south to north here.

Bi Xia Yuan Jun Temple was built in the fifth year of Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 48 1), and it is also the earliest "Yongning Temple" complex on Jiming Mountain. The present Yongning Temple was rebuilt in the fourth year of Taiping (A.D. 1024) and moved to its present position. 1993, Yongning Temple, Kannonji and other cultural landscapes were successively restored, and Yuan Jun Temple in Bi Xia was restored in 1995.

Between square inches, the scenery around Jiming Mountain is panoramic. Peak elevation1140m, vertical height 570m. The Yanghe river basin at the foot of the mountain is about 600 meters above sea level. Yanghe River meets Sanggan River from northwest to southeast in Huailai County, where there are Yongding River and Guanting Reservoir. If the weather is fine, you may be able to see the water surface of Guanting Reservoir in the distance, but although the sky is blue and white, there is still an obvious mist between the valleys, which obscures the distant view. Because the Ji Ming Post Station at the foot of the mountain is very close, you can still see the whole picture of the ancient city at the top of the mountain.

Interestingly, it was later discovered that this Jiming Mountain is located at the junction of Xiahuayuan and Huailai counties. Probably the boundary of the ridge, the uphill side or the lower garden area. At the top of the mountain, mobile phone positioning has been displayed in Huailai. Ji Ming Post Station at the foot of the mountain belongs to Huailai County.

There is the Hall of Supreme Harmony and a Wolong stone on the mountainside, which shows that the Liao and Qing emperors Kangxi have been to this mountain. Wolong stone on the mountain introduces and records Kangxi's poem: "The bird path is empty and close to the wall, and the Yanghe River is like a belt around the mountain root. When I want to take over the border, the vines on the stone are complacent. "

Earlier, a story that happened here during the Warring States Period was recorded in Zhu. "Historical records say that Zhao Xiangzi killed the king in his summer resort and annexed his land. Xiangzi welcomes his younger sister, who is also the wife of generations. At this point, Yue: A generation has died, where will I go? He killed himself by grinding noodles on the mountain. On behalf of pity, it is a shrine, because its mountain name is Moshan. There are pheasants singing on the temple house every night, so it is also called BenQ Mountain. " Wei Guozhi says: twenty-five miles southeast of Daicheng, there is Matou Mountain, and there is a stalactite cave on the side of the mountain. Zhao Xiangzi not only hurt the king, but also welcomed his sister. Sister, acting wife. The lady said: it is unkind to slow down your husband with your brother; It is unjust to blame your brother with your husband. The messenger stabbed himself. The people pity it in order to set up a shrine on the side of the mountain, because it is called Moshan. what's up ”。 (Notes on Water Classics, Volume XIII, Yang Shoujing, Jiangsu Ancient Books Publishing House, P 1 182)

The Daicheng mentioned in this paper is the area around the ruins of the Eastern Dynasty Wangcheng in Yuxian. Jiming is about 0/00 km north of Shandong, and Matou is about 0/5 km south of Shandong. It is the mountain peak on the north side of Jiugongkouyu, which leads to Chashan Village from the east of Yuxian County via National Highway 1 12, not far from the ancient flying fox. During the Warring States period, the capital of Zhao was Handan. It should be more convenient to go south to Handan from Yuxian via Flying Fox and Laiyuan County. However, it is also possible to bypass the northeast via Xuanhua, and then from the military capital via Yan to Handan. According to this inference, Jiming Mountain in the garden next door is not necessarily where Dave committed suicide. But this is where the legend of Jiming Mountain comes from.

According to Liao History, Xiao Taihou and Lu Ye Longxu, the emperor of Liao Dynasty, coveted the land of Dasong and went south many times. When they saw the steep terrain and beautiful scenery here, they built large-scale buildings here for the purpose of getting a glimpse of the world, and established three famous royal gardens in history, namely, the upper, middle and lower gardens. Therefore, the "Xiahuayuan" was named and has been used ever since. (The article is taken from Wang Yulong /newsDetail_forward_2424258, author of Zhangjiakou City Records, Xiahuayuan District Records and Eleven Series of Zhangjiakou Literature and History Materials).

"Golden history? Geography: There is Jiming Mountain in Dexing Prefecture. (History of Jin Dynasty, Volume 24, Volume 5, Geography, P567, Zhonghua Book Company, 1975 edition)

Tong Mingzhi said that when Emperor Taizong arrived at this mountain in the Northern Expedition, he heard the name of a rooster crowing. (Xuanhua County Records, Volume 5, Mountains and Rivers Records, P 1 17)

Ming Kunshan Yewenzhuang Shengjishang Garden is in today's Baoan State. Yun: The crow crows three miles to Shanxi to go to the garden. Go another 30 miles to town. The upper garden faces the lower garden. Flowers were planted in Xiao Taihou, Liaoning Province, and now the site is still there. Zhuo Rendun has a long history, while Zheng Dexin has not been a scholar. Poetry: Mountains and clouds sink and smoke incline. It is said that the poor have flowers. It should be the resentment of the Qing tombs in the Han Palace, not the jade appearance. (Poetry in the Garden, Liao Poetry, Qing Dynasty, Series, P 14)

Twenty-four years of History of the Qing Empire: "Jiming Mountain is located in the southeast of Xuanhua County, also known as Jiming Mountain. In the first year of peace, Emperor Zhaodi was buried in Mingji Mountain in Guangling. Li Daoyuan recorded that there was an East River flowing 30 miles northeast of Luoxia and Mingji Mountain in the north. Zhao Xiangzi killed the king, and his sister Moshan committed suicide. Because of the famous mountains, there are pheasants chirping in the temple at night, so according to the Notes on Moshan Shuijing, two notes were cited on Wei land, one for BenQ Mountain and the other for Matou Mountain. I don't know what's right and wrong. All the notes of music and peace history in the world say that chickens are grinded, Xiao Yan's words in brackets are grinded with horse's head, and Yin Geng's Mo Shan distinguishes that singing chickens should be grinded with horse's head in modern Shanggucheng.

Liao's upper garden is located 40 miles southeast of Xuanhua County, and his lower garden is located 50 miles southeast of the county. According to legend, it was the place where Empress Liao planted flowers. Qianlong lived here for ten years and had imperial poems. Dongyuan is located in Li Dongli, Gulai County, and Xingyuan is located in Nanliliao, Yanqing County. It is said that apricot trees were planted here in the golden age. Looking back at Jiming Mountain and its surrounding Xiahuayuan District, Upper garden village and East huayuan town, it bears many historical stories, from Wang Zhao's killing of Daiwang and his sister's suicide, to the history of Liao's garden construction, to the Song and Liao wars, and the civil strife in the Ming Dynasty. Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty personally recruited galdan, Jiming Mountain and Yanghe, witnessing the vicissitudes of life. I also hope that this kind of stop-and-go, contact with books and classics, you can see the road of time change through layers of smog.
