Why is there a flood in the north and a drought in the south?

At present, there are several main reasons for floods in the north and droughts in the south:

1. In recent years, the water temperature in the eastern Pacific has become extremely cold, which is called La Nina phenomenon. This phenomenon will lead to global climate chaos. When it appeared, China was prone to Leng Xia hot weather in winter. At the same time, the number of tropical cyclones (typhoons) landing in China is more than normal.

2. When the water temperature in the eastern Pacific drops abnormally, it will lead to an abnormal increase in the water temperature in the western Pacific located in the east of China, which will bring a lot of warm and humid air flow to the east of China.

3. In the high latitudes of northern China, it is easy to form strong convective rainstorm weather after encountering cold air, which leads to floods in the north.

4. At the same time, because the warm and humid airflow in the east of China is stronger than in previous years, the heat energy in the south is also stronger than in previous years, resulting in high temperature weather. However, the southern region is controlled by the subtropical high pressure belt, and the high pressure causes the warm and humid airflow to fail to form an updraft, so it cannot condense into rain. So the southern region is not only hot, but also rainy, leading to drought.

It should be noted that whether the trend of waterlogging in the north and drought in the south can last for several years remains to be further observed.
