What's the climate like in Mo Yuxian? Is there much wind and dust?

Due to the difference of topography, Mo Yuxian can be divided into three climatic zones from south to north, and there are big sandstorms in some areas.

Distribution of climatic zones:

The annual average temperature in southern mountainous areas is about 9.4℃, which is warm in winter and cool in summer. The annual scope is small, the frost-free period is short, the heat is insufficient, and there is more precipitation. It is one of the county animal husbandry areas.

The central plain is located in the piedmont alluvial fan and alluvial plain below 1400 meters above sea level on the west bank of Karakash River. Abundant water resources are beneficial to the growth of wheat, corn, cotton and other crops and cash crops. However, the weather is hot in summer, and there are often dry and hot winds, which affect crop yield. In some years, the winter temperature is low, the cold period is long, and there is little snowfall in winter, which brings certain difficulties to winter wheat.

The northern desert area is located in the northern part of Mo Yuxian, with the altitude below 1300m. It is the area with the richest light and heat and the largest daily range in the county.

Division of four seasons: Mo Yuxian people are used to treating March to May as spring, June to August as summer, September to 165438+ October as autumn, and June to February as winter.

Spring: The temperature rises rapidly and is unstable, with frequent cold weather, strong winds, sandstorms and floating dust, dry air and severe spring drought. In spring, as Mongolia's cold high pressure weakened and retreated northward, the influence of cold air gradually weakened, and the warm air in Central Asia gradually strengthened and moved northward, making the temperature rise rapidly. However, due to the frequent cold air activities in Siberia, the cold wave weather returns to the south, which makes the spring temperature rise unstable and prone to late frost and late spring cold weather.

Summer: The central plains and northern desert areas are hot and rainy, and the southern mountainous areas are rich in precipitation. In summer, under the constant control of Tashkent thermal depression, the surrounding heated air sinks and rises, resulting in high temperature, heat and dry air. The summer is long, the hottest month is July, the average temperature is above 24.5℃, and the continuous high temperature often occurs, and the extreme maximum temperature can reach 42.7℃. There are many showers in summer, and heavy rain and hail often appear in the southern mountainous areas. Summer is hot and the air is dry, which is the season when dry and hot winds prevail.

Autumn: The air is crisp in autumn, the temperature drops rapidly, and the daily variation is large. Autumn is the transitional stage between warm season and cold season in Mo Yuxian. The continental thermal low pressure gradually weakened and disappeared, and the Arctic cold high pressure gradually increased southward and invaded the county seat, resulting in a sharp cooling.

Winter: the cold time is longer, the weather is sunny and there is less snowfall. Winter is controlled by Mongolian cold high pressure, the weather is stable and sunny, the night is cold and intense, and there are more inversion in the morning and evening, and smog often appears near the county seat. The average temperature in Leng Yue is around -6.4℃, and the extreme minimum temperature can be reduced to -23.7℃.
