How to choose a city that suits you?

People get married when they are 30.

At the age of 3 1, I experienced an important change in my life. I plan to leave Beijing, the city where I have studied and worked for 8 years, and start the rest of my life in another city I like.

I chose Qingdao. I have been here for some time. This city is beautiful and my life is very comfortable.

I believe many friends will face the same problem-the choice of city. Then how do I choose?

The first step, rough screening, narrowing the optional range.

(1) city scale: considering the convenience of living and transportation, only first-and second-tier cities are selected, and the second-tier cities are not considered. Baidu visited first-and second-tier cities, about 50 cities, and made a list.

(2) Air quality and economy: After all, I live in a city in the second half of my life, and the air environment must not be too bad. In addition, we should consider job opportunities and be able to support ourselves. Therefore, we chose two indicators, air quality and economic development (GDP), and combined these two indicators to screen out the cities ranked lower on the list.

(3) Climate: After the above two rounds of elimination, there are roughly 15 cities left, mainly the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, the eastern coast and some economically developed cities in the mainland. Considering that I am an authentic northerner, I can't accept the hot and humid climate in summer and the cold climate in winter in some southern cities, and there are also cultural differences between North and South and concerns about not understanding dialects, so I also ruled out some southern cities. When I was at school, I liked Haizi's song "Facing the Sea, Warming bloom in Spring". I traveled to several coastal cities and liked the maritime climate, so I finally chose Dalian, Tianjin, Qingdao and Xiamen.

The second step is to choose and determine the final city.

More than 50 cities are selected from more than 200 prefecture-level cities, and then 50 cities enter 15 and 15 into 4, and the last step is coming. Let me start with these four cities.

Tianjin, where undergraduates study. When I was studying, everyone joked that this city was "the largest rural area in China". Although it is a municipality directly under the central government, it is really ugly. However, in the past few years after graduation, Tianjin has made great efforts in urban construction, repaired a lot of landscapes, done a good job in infrastructure construction and developed rapidly in economy. Another great advantage of this city is that the people are calm and optimistic, and they are not in a hurry (of course, some people say that they are not enterprising), which makes people feel very comfortable and practical.

Dalian, I traveled a few years ago. The first impression is that it is clean and the overall quality of the citizens is also very high. Everyone consciously queues up by car, which is much better than the imperial city. Of course, since the Beijing bus station designated the waiting area, some buses have also been divided into the station waiting area and the seating waiting area, and the order is really much better. Therefore, many times, it is really more useful to find ways to regulate order and formulate effective rules than to blindly publicize and improve quality.

Qingdao, the company organized a trip before, and it felt ok and didn't leave much impression. But this city has relatives.

Xiamen, I have also traveled. It feels good, the food is delicious and the scenery is pleasant. Some students are here, but it's really hot in summer, and the house price has risen very high.

Although there are only four cities left, it is actually more difficult to choose 1 from the four cities, because each city has its own advantages and disadvantages. The closer you get, the harder it is to make a decision.

Fortunately, I immediately thought of a decision-making tool-decision balance sheet. Decision-making balance sheet is what I learned in career counseling class, and it is used for career choice after graduation. In fact, this tool can also be used for other options. In order to use it, I changed it a little, and the specific method is as follows:

1, select several factors that affect the choice, and attach weights according to the degree of concern. I listed six factors: house price, salary level, air quality, cultural atmosphere, social support (where family and friends live) and traffic conditions. In fact, most people, from the perspective of choice, are nothing more than these points. Are there any career development opportunities in the future, whether the salary is high or not, how about the house price (if you want to buy a house), whether the natural environment is good, how about educational and medical resources, whether you can have the opportunity to watch your favorite concert/ball game/visit the museum, and whether your relatives, friends and classmates are there. Maybe different people value different things. If you want to know clearly what you value here, the factors you value are very important and will affect the final score.

In fact, the air quality has been used in the previous screening, but on the one hand, it was already scared by the smog in Beijing, so we attach great importance to this. On the other hand, it was only a preliminary screening before, and this time it is still necessary to use this index for fine screening.

2. Personal rating. Here, I set a score of 100 for each event. Some factors are difficult to quantify and compare, and scoring is more about distinguishing. In the process of operation, first of all, you should know the situation through various channels (such as searching information online, visiting forums, asking friends in that city and so on). ), and then comprehensively analyze and subjectively score according to the information you know. House prices and wages can be converted into percentiles.

3. Accounting scores. Final score of each city = ∑ individual score * weight.

Students who have been exposed to human resources should be able to see it at this moment. In fact, this decision-making process is very similar to the process of recruiting talents and performance management. All the influencing factors are listed, given weight, then scored individually, and finally summarized. But also a lot of non-quantitative data, which need to be viewed comprehensively and evaluated subjectively.

After these three steps, the score came out, and finally, Qingdao scored the highest. Although Qingdao's score is not outstanding in each individual item, it is better than not having too many shortcomings.

In this way, the flowers finally landed in Qingdao.

After I decided on the city, I spent some time getting to know the whole city of Qingdao, including historical weather, cultural development, the development of various urban areas, the allocation of educational and medical resources, housing prices, cultural customs, snacks, scenic spots and so on. It is always good to know more.

A year ago, I finally dragged my suitcase and came to this city.

Now, in this city, I have a good job, made some friends, bought a house and raised a dog. This spring, I took my dog to the seaside to "face the sea and warm bloom in spring".

Objectively speaking, the salary of the job you are looking for is not high (lower than when you were in Beijing), but the advantage is that you don't have to squeeze the subway and work overtime. The traffic in Qingdao is not as convenient as that in Beijing (the first subway was opened at the end of last year), but fortunately, the planning is not bad, and the city is also vigorously building subways. There are relatives here. Although far away, I don't see each other very much, but I feel at ease. The most satisfying thing is the house. Look at the crazy general house price in the Imperial Capital. Although I have to repay the loan here, it is still within my tolerance. After a while, my little wish of "I have a house" will finally come true, and I am still very excited.

This article actually wants to emphasize that many tools and methods in study and work can also be applied to life. Libra, for example, needs to learn more decision-making methods.
