Where is Urumqi No.1 Glacier?

Starting from Cangfanggou Road in Urumqi, along National Highway 2 16, you can reach Glacier 1 via Yongfeng Township, Xibaiyanggou Scenic Area and Xia Hou. You can also take Wu-Kui Expressway from Xishan Road in Urumqi, take National Highway 2 16 under Cangfanggou overpass, and reach No.1 Glacier via Yongfeng Township, Xibaiyanggou Scenic Area and Xia Hou.

At the head of Urumqi River on the northern slope of Tiangeer Mountain, you can basically walk along National Highway 2 16. I seem to hear that tourists are not allowed to enter there.
