Responsibilities of Tianjin Meteorological Observatory

1, formulate local meteorological development plans and plans, and be responsible for organizing the implementation of meteorological development plans and plans and meteorological business construction within their respective administrative areas; Responsible for the review of important meteorological facilities construction projects within their respective administrative areas; To guide, supervise and manage meteorological work within their respective administrative areas.

2, in accordance with the responsibilities and authority to approve the adjustment plan of meteorological stations, organize and manage the collection and release of meteorological observation data within their respective administrative areas; Protect the meteorological observation environment according to law; To manage foreign-related meteorological activities within their respective administrative areas.

3, within the administrative area, organize cross-regional and cross-departmental joint monitoring and forecasting of major disastrous weather, timely put forward meteorological disaster prevention measures, and evaluate major meteorological disasters, providing decision-making basis for the people's government at the same level to organize meteorological disaster prevention; To manage the release of public meteorological forecasts, severe weather warnings, agricultural meteorological forecasts, urban meteorological forecasts, fire danger grade meteorological forecasts and other professional meteorological forecasts within their respective administrative areas.

4, formulate weather modification scheme, and under the leadership and coordination of the people's government at the same level, manage, guide and implement weather modification operations; Organize and manage the lightning disaster prevention work, and guide the monitoring of lightning disaster protection devices installed in buildings, structures and other facilities that may be struck by lightning in conjunction with relevant departments.

5, responsible for the people's government at the same level and the relevant departments at the same level to put forward suggestions on the utilization and protection of climate resources and the promotion and application of climate resources zoning and other achievements; Organize the climate feasibility demonstration of climate resources development and utilization projects.

6. Organize meteorological legal publicity and education, be responsible for supervising the implementation of relevant meteorological laws and regulations, punish acts that violate the relevant provisions of the Meteorological Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), and undertake relevant administrative reconsideration and administrative litigation.

7, unified leadership and management of the meteorological departments within their respective administrative areas of planning finance, organization, personnel and labor, scientific research and training and business construction; In conjunction with the district and county people's governments, the meteorological institutions under their jurisdiction shall be subject to the dual management of departments; Do a good job in spiritual civilization construction and ideological and political work of local meteorological departments in conjunction with local party committees and people's governments.

8. To undertake other tasks assigned by China Meteorological Bureau and Beijing Municipal People's Government.
