Suqian is a city in Jiangsu Province.

Suqian, formerly known as Xia Xiang, Suyu and Zhongwu, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province, located in the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta and in the north of Jiangsu Province. It is a regional comprehensive transportation hub in the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, located in the center of Xuzhou, Lianyungang and Huai 'an. It is an important gateway city for Jiangsu coastal areas to radiate to the central and western regions, a core city of Xuzhou metropolitan area and Jianghuai ecological economic zone, and a node city of the Belt and Road Initiative.
