What is the speed limit in expressway on foggy days?

The speed limit of high-speed in foggy days needs to be calculated according to specific standards. The speed standards in foggy days are as follows:

1. Driving in foggy days, when the visibility is less than 200m and greater than100m, the speed shall not exceed 60km/h;

2. When the visibility is less than 100 meters and more than 50 meters, the speed cannot exceed 40 kilometers per hour;

3, visibility is less than 50 meters, the speed shall not exceed 20 kilometers;

4. In case of dense fog and extremely low visibility, it is best to leave expressway or drive into the service area.

Precautions for driving in foggy days:

1, in foggy days, you can make full use of the remaining sight distance and always pay attention to the lane dividing line in the road, but you must be careful not to roll the line, otherwise it will be very dangerous for oncoming traffic;

2. It is not good to drive in foggy days, so it is a good idea to drive at a low speed as far as possible to avoid emergency braking and follow the big car;

3. In foggy days, the line of sight is not good. Frequently honking the horn can serve as a warning to pedestrians and vehicles. When you hear the horn of another car, you should honk it immediately to show the position of your car. If the other car is fast, take the initiative to slow down and avoid it, and pull over if necessary.

Legal basis: Article 58 of the Regulations for the Implementation of the Road Safety Law of the People's Republic of China.

When a motor vehicle runs at night without street lamps, poor lighting or in case of fog, rain, snow, dust, hail and other low visibility conditions, it should turn on the headlights, position lights and rear position lights. However, when the rear car driving in the same direction is driving close to the front car, it is not allowed to use the high beam.
