Does director Makoto Shinkai have his next work?

As of 221, there is no news of the next movie, and the last one was Children of the Weather three years ago.

On December 13th, director Makoto Shinkai released a visual poster for his new film "The Son of the Weather", and announced that it will be released in Japan on July 19th next year.

After Your Name, The Son of the Weather, with Makoto Shinkai as the original, screenwriter and director, tells a story of teenagers and girls manipulated by fate, teenagers who leave home for Tokyo and girls who pray that the weather will clear up, and "choose" their own way of life.
