Mud rain comes because there is a warm current when the sandstorm comes, and the dust in the air will fall to the ground in the form of mud rain. Mud rain is a liquid form of sandstorm.

In the desert edge area in spring, due to long-term drought, there is little vegetation coverage on the surface. When there is strong wind, the dust on the surface is easily blown up and transported away. However, due to the large particle size of sand, it is difficult to form suspension and cannot be transported over a long distance, which is the main reason why there is only dust and little sand blowing in areas far away from dust.

If the gale lasts for a long time, the suspended floating dust can be transported far away, and sandstorms will appear in the passing areas; When the wind speed decreases to a certain extent, the floating dust will fall, and there will be dust-falling weather in the local area. If it rains at this time, the so-called "mud rain" will form.

Harm of Mud Rain to Fruit Trees' Flowering and Fruit Setting

The fruit trees in most parts of China are in flowering period, and the appearance of "mud rain" will hurt the fruit trees to varying degrees, and then make the fruit farmers suffer losses. Among them, the flower organs of early flowering tree species were the most seriously damaged. The basic performance is:

1. The surfaces of petals and calyx are covered with mud and dust, and the lace turns yellow, curls inward and falls off, and even has scars, necrosis and falls off;

2. Stamens and anthers are attached and wrapped by mud film, which causes filaments and anthers to turn black and dry;

3. Mud rain adheres to pistil to prevent flowers from pollinating, and even causes its top to die;

According to the investigation of relevant agricultural people, the trees outside the orchard and the middle and upper parts, the open and windward places are the most vulnerable. About 80% ~ 90% of the crown outer edge and inflorescence petals will appear semi-withered or dead. Moreover, the flowering period of the whole orchard will be shortened by about 3 days compared with the good years, resulting in a great reduction in output.
