How long does it take to measure the earth with your feet?

After 433 days and 24,000 kilometers, 49-year-old Bai Bin arrived in Tuktoyatuk in the Arctic Circle from the Great Wall Scientific Research Station in China, completing the challenge of running from the South Pole to the North Pole.

During the long-distance running, he always thinks about his next challenge while running. One small goal every day, one middle goal in each stage, and the final big goal. What he has to do every day is to constantly accomplish his goals.

He said that he plans to challenge "climbing Mount Everest quickly" next year. Besides the South Pole and the North Pole, Mount Everest is the "roof of the world".

After that, he also plans to run from the North Pole to Xi 'an along the direction of the North and South Poles. Previously, he ran from Istanbul, Turkey to Xi 'an, then from Istanbul to Europe, then to Africa, and finally to Antarctica, "thus running a big circle around the earth".

Text/Guangzhou Daily All-Media Reporter Zhang Dan Figure/Respondents provided 20 1 1 This year, Bai Bin spent 150 days and ran nearly 250 marathons from Istanbul through six countries. "Maybe in the future, when I am 70 or 80 years old or even 9 100 years old, I will still be active in the marathon track. Life is endless, running is endless, and challenges are endless. " He said. Bai Bin, a native of Sinan County, Tongren City, Guizhou Province, was the first national outdoor sports champion, the first national mountain mixed team champion and the first Asian International Outdoor Open champion. Challenge the "limit" and do what you can. Guangzhou Daily: Will it hurt your health to complete the challenge of 433 days of extreme running? What is your current physical condition?

Bai Bin: As far as I'm concerned, completing the 433-day challenge didn't have a particularly big impact on my health. It's just that there are injuries in the middle, which is normal. Even in daily training, injuries are inevitable. This kind of extreme running certainly consumes the body, but through nutritional supplement, the body can recover quickly.

My physical condition can be said to be very good. With a little adjustment, I can move on to the next challenge.

Guangzhou Daily: What advice do you have for ordinary runners who want to take part in extreme running?

Bai Bin: I think everyone's limit is different. We must choose the challenges that suit us. This is the most critical and important thing. Because if the limit of your challenge has exceeded the limit you can bear, it may cause harm to your body and even have more serious consequences, so you should do what you can. To challenge your limits, you can only grope slowly. You can't say that if you want to challenge your limits, you can completely break through your limits. Not after a long time. Therefore, this is the limit of my challenge, and ordinary runners should never imitate it at will. Without decades of precipitation, it is difficult to have such a high height. You can't just think of one goal and challenge it. It's definitely unrealistic. So we must do our best.

Many people accompany me. Guangzhou Daily: Some media reported that Mr. Li Zhenyu helped out in the North and South Pole race, and only you and Mr. Li were left in the end. Before you finally reach the finish line, you will be left alone, and no one will accompany you to complete all the challenges.

Bai Bin: First of all, I must have a team to support the challenge of running from the South Pole to the North Pole. At most, there are 1 1 people in the team, and there are almost five people in the core team, but it is rare for five people to follow me to Vancouver. Because this challenge takes too long, everyone has their own things to do, and I know everyone is working hard, so I hope everyone can get it done. In fact, I went to Vancouver and found some other people to provide me with logistical support. Actually, there is no one to accompany me to complete the challenge. In fact, Li Zhenyu left midway for a period of time, when his passport was stolen and he needed to get a new one.

In the process of challenge, many people are accompanying me. "Li Bai Run the Earth" was originally initiated by Li Zhenyu and Bai Bin, hence the name. But as time went on, it was not only Li Zhenyu who helped me gradually. The "Li" in "Li Bai" is not just Li Zhenyu, but all the people who care about helping me finish this challenge.

Bai Bin stood up and ran into China Antarctic Great Wall Scientific Research Station.

The polar race is just the beginning. Guangzhou Daily: Many netizens have different voices when they see that you have completed the North and South Pole Run, such as "you must have money first" and "you can only do it if you have money and time". What do you think of the problems of "money" and "time" mentioned by netizens?

Bai Bin: Of course, there are many different voices in society. This is normal. It costs money to do one thing, and it can't be done without an economic foundation. Then we ran from the South Pole to the North Pole once. At first, there were some sponsors and sponsors' funds. However, due to various factors such as the change of this last trip, the final cost was insufficient, and we ran out of funds halfway. After that, we asked for help in a circle of friends, and with everyone's help, we finally completed the challenge.

Guangzhou Daily: What does it mean for runners to run in the North and South Poles? Does this matter have any meaning in your life?

Bai Bin: For me, the North and South Pole race is a major challenge in my life. Because I ran back to China for 654.38+00000 kilometers, which was the fastest and longest record of human beings at that time. But at that time, I ran the challenge relatively easily and ran with others, so I hoped to have a challenge of my own, which was also the highest challenge in my life. Because I think my body can, I have been training for decades, and I hope that decades of persistence will have such a result. This is a natural thing. So, for me, this is a very important challenge in my life.

Every time on the way to a challenge, I will think in my mind and prepare for the next challenge. Through this challenge, I also formed the goal of my next challenge.

The North and South Pole Running is just the beginning of my exploration of the real extreme running.

The running amount is constantly adjusted according to your physical condition. Guangzhou Daily: I see that you record the time, place and mileage of running every day. Does the mileage of running every day change or is it a little big? Sometimes it is 30 to 50 kilometers, and at most it is 133 kilometers. What are the main factors that affect running mileage?

Bai Bin: Because I ran beyond the limit for more than a year, I can't ask myself to run a fixed number of kilometers every day. Because the challenge is to travel to so many foreign countries and the natural climate is uncertain, it is very difficult to run a fixed number of kilometers every day. Everyone's physical condition fluctuates up and down in a waveform, and I also run according to my physical condition. Run more when you are in good health and less when you are in poor health. This is a good continuous running state, and only in this state can I complete the challenge within one year. If you are in poor health for several days, but you don't adjust your running amount according to your physical condition, if you run too much, your body will definitely collapse.

Sometimes you are in poor health, or affected by other circumstances, including hospitalization, injury, infection, etc. At that time, my physical fitness should be at the lowest point, and I can only adjust constantly during this time, that is, I only run 10 km every day. This is normal, because I was in poor health at that time, and it was impossible to run 70 or 80 kilometers, or even 100 kilometers.

Running is a kind of "enjoyment" Guangzhou Daily: I saw some media reports that running has crossed 13 countries, and some people have crossed 14 countries. How many are there in the end? Why are there two versions? ?

Bai Bin: At that time, when we set out, we planned to cross 13 countries, but we finally crossed 14 countries. One of the countries did not have a plan at the beginning, and this country is El Salvador. According to previous surveys, El Salvador is one of the most dangerous countries in the world. At that time, I planned to avoid this country, although I would take a little more detours, but it was also for the safety of the whole trip. On the way to the North and South Poles, China established diplomatic relations with El Salvador. I thought it was safe to cross El Salvador, so I decided to cross it temporarily and wanted to see the countries that had just established diplomatic relations with China. The trip is short and there is no need to make a detour.

When it was finally completed, it included 2 19 towns in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Panama, Mexico and other countries.

Guangzhou Daily: We see that you are the only one who really runs, although there will be motorcades slowly following on the road. Do you feel lonely when running?

Bai Bin: For me, running is a pleasure, because it is a part of my life. I feel that I have devoted my life to running. Therefore, when I run alone, I am not lonely. When I run alone, I am constantly accomplishing my goal. I have small goals every day, and there will be a middle goal at every stage. Finally, completing the challenge is a big goal. Run towards your goal like this every day, and you won't feel lonely or bored.

My wife was going to run a marathon every day. Guangzhou Daily: I saw some media reports that your wife was just pregnant when you left. What do you want to say to your family after running?

Bai Bin: Originally, my wife planned to accompany me from the South Pole to the North Pole. Besides providing me with logistical support, she also completes her challenge every day-trying to run a marathon with me every day. But later, because she was pregnant, she could not complete the challenge. My challenge can't stop. You know this challenge focuses on the heart. If this challenge is delayed for another year or two, I may not dare to challenge it again. Because my age, physical fitness and even my mood may affect the challenge. Some things just need high spirits. Because of all kinds of difficulties and many uncertain factors, it is impossible to "get everything ready". Once you procrastinate, consider too many difficulties, or give up the challenge because your wife is pregnant, in the end, it may be difficult to complete the challenge.

On the way to the challenge, in fact, my family is very concerned. Although I briefly described my running experience in my circle of friends, I didn't mention all kinds of dangerous experiences for fear that my family would know and worry. But in fact, they also learned about the dangers of roads through various channels. Sometimes they can't help asking me not to run, but in the end they choose to continue to support me until I complete the challenge.

I want to say to my family that I am very grateful for their support. Without the support of family, it will be difficult to do it completely.

Bai Bin is on his way to running.

Life is endless, running is not limited to Guangzhou Daily: Do you have any plans or plans for the next step?

Bai Bin: I will always think about my next challenge in the process of completing the South and North Pole running challenge. Considering the current good physical condition, I plan to challenge "climbing Mount Everest" next year. Besides the South Pole and the North Pole, Mount Everest has become the "roof of the world".

After that, I will continue to run from the North Pole to Xi 'an along the direction of the North and South Poles. Before, I ran from Istanbul, Turkey to Xi 'an, then from Istanbul to Europe, to Africa, and finally to Antarctica, so I became a big circle around the earth.

The challenge is to be completed step by step, and it cannot be accomplished overnight. However, I will continue to explore and achieve my challenging goals.

For me, life is endless and exploration is endless. Maybe in the future, when I am 70 or 80 years old or even 9 100 years old, I will still be active in the marathon track, and I will really live, run and challenge.

Bai Bin's "circle of friends" record: My energy is beyond imagination. "South America completed 63.5 kilometers in 3 1 day. The wind in South America is more violent! " I'm used to you whistling. Would you like to accompany me? I don't want to shout for you. Your kind retention is helpless. I insist on going north. You don't have to be so persistent When you are tired, you can give me a push. You are the object of my nagging every day. See you tomorrow, preferably tomorrow. "

"South America completed 70 kilometers on the 46th day, traveled 76 kilometers and climbed 460 meters. Today is very interesting. I just ran 20 kilometers. Suddenly, a little dog came up to me with a skinned bone in his mouth, which startled me and worried that it would attack me. It threw away the bone and ran 50 kilometers with me. Four small thin legs moved quickly, showing no signs of fatigue.

"Li Bai completed it in 352 days 133 km, with a total mileage of 20098.3 km. Today, it is a rare good weather. When the sun comes out, the wind and rain play hide and seek. More importantly, today is the day to break 20,000 yuan. More importantly, today is the day to complete the thirteen countries and enter the last country ... hahaha, to borrow the slogan of Red Bull and Li Ning-I have more energy than you.

"Li Bai ran the earth on the 432nd day 100km, took15h, with a total mileage of 24,005.42km, and finally 100+ reached the finish line. On the last day, the weather changed suddenly, and the temperature was as low as-0/9 degrees. Plus the wind, it's really exciting! Come on, come on, come on!
