Main types of air pollution

The main types of air pollution are reduction type and oxidation type.

1, restore type

The reduction type is also called London type, and its main pollutants are SO2, CO and particulate matter. Under the conditions of low temperature, cloudy and high humidity, low wind speed and inversion temperature, the primary pollutants gather at low altitude to produce reduced smoke.

2, oxidation type

Oxidation type is also called Los Angeles type, and its pollutants mainly come from automobile exhaust, oil-fired boilers and petrochemical industry. The main primary pollutants are carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons. These atmospheric pollutants can undergo photochemical reaction under the sunlight irradiation, generating secondary pollutants, such as ozone, aldehyde, ketone, peroxyacetyl nitrate and other substances with strong oxidation, which will cause strong stimulation to human eyes and other mucous membranes.

Present situation of air pollution in China

The degree of environmental pollution in China is getting more and more serious, because only water pollution and solid waste treatment have a high degree of marketization, and the rest, such as air pollution treatment, are easily affected by the weather and will be transferred between different regions, so the government's enthusiasm for controlling air pollution has been very low, and this part of the market is also relatively weak. From the perspective of air pollution emissions in China, it has increased from 138 145 billion standard cubic meters in 2000 to 674.509 billion standard cubic meters in 20 1 1 year, an increase of 2.39 times.

Air pollution in China mainly comes from industrial emissions. 20 1 1 year, the power industry accounts for 47.52% of China's industrial sulfur dioxide emissions, and the sulfur dioxide emissions of steel, cement building materials and non-ferrous metallurgy industries reach 10.64%, 13.26% and 6.04% respectively.
