Amdo County, which belongs to Naqu City, Tibet, is located in the north of Tibet, on the north and south sides of the famous Tanggula Mountain. It is adjacent to Zhiduo County, Zaduo County and Nierong County in Qinghai Province in the east, Sene District in the south, Bango County and Shuanghu County in the west and Golmud City in Qinghai Province in the north. It is the north gate of Tibet.
By the end of 2020, Amdo County covers an area of about 6,543.8+10,000 square kilometers, governs 79 administrative villages in 4 towns and 9 townships, and the county people's government is located in Pana Town. Amdo County is rich in natural mineral resources and is a natural wildlife kingdom.
