Twenty-four Filial Piety is a must-read for teenagers. Mainly tells the story of twenty-four dutiful sons. It shows filial piety incisively and touching in the form of stories, and then carries forward the spirit of filial piety. The full name of Twenty-four Filial Pieties is Selected Poems of Twenty-four Filial Pieties. The author is Guo of Yuan Dynasty, and some people say it is his younger brother. The third statement is Guo Juye. Twenty-four Filial Pieties is different from the Classic of Filial Piety and Female Filial Piety. It is a collection of filial stories of twenty-four filial sons.
According to historical documents discovered in modern times and decorative pictures in tombs, we can judge that fourteen dutiful sons are recognized as dutiful sons, namely Yu Shun, Zeng Shen, Min Loss, Zhong You Tan Zi, Lu Ji, Wang Xiang, Guo Ju, Yang Xiang, Lao Laizi, Cai Shun, Jiang, Ding Lan and Meng Zong. Most of the stories of Twenty-four Filial Pieties are based on the Biography of Filial Piety edited by Liu Xiang, a Confucian scholar in the Western Han Dynasty, and some stories are also based on books such as Collection of Arts and Literature and Taiping Magnolia.
