Will the shed fall or rise in windy weather?

In windy weather, the outdoor operation of greenhouse should be adjusted according to the specific situation.

1. For the greenhouse with large camber, due to the proper camber of the shed surface, the hot air flow can be easily discharged along the upper part of the shed membrane, and even if the air outlet is small, good ventilation effect can be achieved. However, the low-rise old shed with long planting period has small camber, flat shed surface, slow exhaust of hot air from the air outlet and high temperature in the shed. In this case, it is usually necessary to open the top air outlet to 40 cm wide to achieve the same ventilation effect as the greenhouse with a high height and a large arch opening to 30 cm.

2. When the wind direction is different, the air outlets on both sides of the greenhouse have different sizes. When the west wind blows, the vegetables on the west side of the greenhouse are blocked by gables, so the hot air in the greenhouse is relatively less and the temperature is higher. Therefore, attention should be paid to increasing the air outlet on the west side of the greenhouse and reducing the air outlet on the east side. When the east wind blows, the vent on the east side of the greenhouse should also be opened. When the temperature in the shed decreases in the afternoon, if it is a westerly wind, the air outlet on the east side of the shed should be closed first, leaving a gap in the air outlet on the west side of the shed. When the wind blows south or north, the air outlets on the east and west sides of the greenhouse can be opened to the same size.

Therefore, in windy weather, it is necessary to adjust the outdoor operation of the greenhouse according to the camber and wind direction, so as to ensure that the temperature and humidity in the greenhouse are appropriate and avoid the damage to crops caused by improper outdoor operation.
