Why is it so cold in winter in our country?

In China, there is a great difference in winter temperature between the north and the south. It's warm in the south, and the farther north, the lower the temperature. The reasons that affect the winter temperature distribution in China are as follows:

In the northern hemisphere, the farther north we go, the lower the solar altitude angle and the less solar heat we receive. In the south of China, due to the low latitude and large solar altitude angle, it receives more solar heat.

(2) The northern part of China is close to the birthplace of winter wind, which is obviously affected by winter wind and has a large cooling range. The southern part of China is far away from the birthplace of winter winds and blocked by tall mountains, with a small cooling range and high temperature.

Winter wind

Winter wind refers to the wind from the continental cold high pressure in the winter monsoon region. In winter in the northern hemisphere, due to the interaction between Siberian high and Aleutian low, northwest wind, that is, winter wind, prevails.

The winter monsoon phenomenon in East Asia is the most typical, and the wind force is stronger than the summer monsoon. The winter wind in China comes from the inland, and the wind direction is northwest wind. The climate is characterized by low temperature and little rain.
